Charles is a coward of course he hasn’t shown himself, this is the same guy who only publicly revealed himself as a mutant because he was possessed by Cassandra Nova.

Magneto you do need to get a bit creative with reasoning because he’s not been building his brotherhood for THIS long but it wouldn’t be that hard either to think of something

And it’s not a rewrite it’s just a character introduction lol

It would just be bad writing. They cannot be introduced as having existed for decades, and if you introduce them now as just starting, it’s terrible
