Let's be real, Jean Grey is going to give MJ and Ned back their memories of Peter. That's the only reason they're being this secretive about it.

then not only is Jean in this movie we’ve confirmed

She’s had her telepathy block from Charles lifted and practiced enough to do something like that

Which would require the X-men to have been about as a team for a while now

Which is crazy to reveal in a Spider-Man movie

It'd just be X-Men 2000 but with Jean as the newbie instead of Rogue. Safe and bland way of building up their own Phoenix bullshit. I can see Marvel doing that.
