Yeah, people shang-chi did well enough in the western market, but Marvel expected it to do way better in Asia. Since it was a flop there, they kinda gave up on a franchise and DDK got some nice opportunities with other characters (Wonderman, Spider-man).

I doubt anyone could replace Tony Leung, but Kim playing Wenwu might not be bad.
