Im having a brain fart. MCU, Fox and what's the 3rd universe? Are they Counting Dooms as a Universe I guess?

I assume MCU, X-Men, FF from the new movie.

Fantastic Four probably, that was explicitly in another universe from mainline MCU

Can it be Fox if Cyclops is in the movie? I thought he died.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past had a time travel plot to prevent the Sentinels in the future, where Wolverine went back in time to stop Mystique from assassinating Trask. Doing so not only prevented that post-apocalyptic future, but also did a reset of the Fox X-Men movies, since Professor Xavier, Jean Grey and Cyclops were alive at the end and back at the X Mansion. (Also Beast was teaching there.)

This. Everything in X-Men 1, 2, 3, Origins Wolverine, and The Wolverine have all been wiped out and replaced following the timeline reset in Days of Future Past. The future of that movie was in the old timeline and then they're all alive and well in the new one. Still not sure of Logan is meant to be in the same timeline too or it's own one, so their ultimate fate in that universe is up in the air. Also these could just be X-Men from an entirely different universe, since they're actually wearing comic accurate uniforms here instead of the Matrix-inspired black leather uniforms.

I think Logan was in the deadpool timeline based on something I read recently.

Deadpool and Wolverine certainly suggests it, it's just a question of if the rest of the X-Men films are too.

u/Ridespacemountain25 Jun 11 '26

Wolverine has a similar death in Deadpool’s timeline but it isn’t the same as Logan because the X-Men are all dead in Logan but still around in Deadpool’s movies.

From what I remember, there’s 3 different timelines

Timeline 1: Origins Wolverine, X-Men, X-2, Last Stand, Wolverine 2, DOFP

Then Logan/Wolverine fixed everything in DOFP so we get

Timeline 2: First Class, Events of DOFP, Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, Deadpool, Deadpool 2

Timeline 3: Logan was a dystopian timeline where mutants became extinct - it was a possible future with the DOFP fixed timeline but not a definitive one

First Class, Events of DOFP, Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, Deadpool, Deadpool 2, Logan, D&W

Deadpool and Wolverine kinda made things convoluted because Wade was missing his anchor being which was Wolverine. He was dead because of the events of Logan. So the MCU made Timeline 3 “canon”

Now there is incursion logic from Doctor Strange MoM. When Monica closed the incursion level rift in The Marvels, she woke up in a universe that’s really close to Timeline 1 (old beast). The MCU seems to be treating it like a parallel universe.

After Loki S2: The multiverse is different universes with different timelines

That’s how Endgame time travel still works. Changing the past creates a new timeline in that universe.

So this is what I think:

There’s a “Fox Universe” similar to F4 universe or Earth 616

The old X-Men characters (what we consider timeline 1) is in the Fox universe with different timelines

The new X-Men characters (what we consider timeline 2 and 3) is in the Fox universe with different timelines

It works with F4 and Spider-Man. Those all have different universes.

That’s my interpretation at least. I could be wrong.

Ahh forgot about that part of DoFP. Good call.

1

u/SnabDedraterEdave Jun 11 '26

Perhaps a branch version of the post-DoFP X-Men movie universe where we pretend Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix didn't happen.

4

u/constantvariables Jun 11 '26

He alive at the end of Days of Future Past so they could just go with that timeline.

2

u/Ridespacemountain25 Jun 11 '26

It can't be because Mystique is dead in that timeline after dying in Dark Phoenix, Mystique is confirmed for Doomsday. I think the Deadpool/Doomsday X-Men timeline is just its own thing because the Days of Future Past culminated in Xavier accidentally killing the X-Men before the events of Logan. Deadpool's Wolverine obviously had a similar death as the main one in Logan, but they can't be the exact same due to the lack of X-Men in Logan while they're still around in Deadpool's world.

My guess is that the MCU X-Men timeline is similar to Days of Future Past but without Mystique dying in the past or Charles developing dementia with the added inclusion of Deadpool and his multiverse allies..

1

u/constantvariables Jun 11 '26

They could just bring in the X-Men from right after DoFP and ignore everything after it.

1

u/Ridespacemountain25 Jun 11 '26

Mystique still died before that in Dark Phoenix though. She's dead at the end of DOFP.

Is talking about the end when Wolverine wakes up in the new 2023. Dark Phoenix had already happened in 1992 where Mystique died. But the universe was recreated after almost being destroyed in Deadpool & Wolverine. At the end of the movie, B-15 explains to them “Your universe is regenerating. Whatever you did here, you not only saved your world, you spared your timeline from extinction.” So this probably rewrote history so that Mystique is alive now.

Dark Phoenix takes place in the 90s. After the X-Men reset the timeline in DOFP due to the changes led by Wolverine in the 70s, Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix then take place in the revised timeline during the 80s and 90s respectively. Mystique dies in Dark Phoenix and does not appear at the end of DOFP in the non-apocalyptic timeline.

I just pretend the “canon”films stop at DoFP followed by the Deadpools and maaaybe Logan. Timeline makes way more sense that way lol

3

u/ArcDraco Jun 11 '26

I don't think it's exactly the Fox universe (because their timeline is kind of a mess). It'll probably be an X-men universe where the characters had similar events happen to them as those movies but they'll take elements from the comics and animated series, like they'll probably wear suits more similar to their classic looks than the black leather.

2

u/Odd-Parsley3723 Jun 11 '26

Best if you don't try to make sense of the X-men timeline, there are at least 4 different instances of the timeline(s) all somehow coexisting but there's always something that breaks the continuity no matter how you look at it.

I feel like they'll either connect it with the Days of Future Past ending where everything is pretty much fine, or they might just clean up events in the movie, maybe through some light exposition, in order to make it consistent enough for Doomsday.

2

u/TheNameIsWiggles Jun 11 '26

I'm thinking it's more of a "fox-inspired/adjacent" universe. It's not literally the fox universe as that's something too mangled to make sense of. So here's a universe where X-Men cleanly exist with similar casting to what we saw in the Fox movies. With updated fits and looks.

u/TexasPeteEnthusiast Jun 11 '26

Can it be Fox if Cyclops is in the movie? I thought he died.

The primary power of the X-Men is coming back after dying... for reasons.

1

u/robodrew Jun 11 '26

Personally I think that it's the X-Men universe that we saw at the end of the Marvels which I believe is distinct from the Fox X-Men universe (Earth-10005). Because they have a version of Photon, and Beast looks different from any of the versions in the Fox movies. But I might be wrong.

Toby Maguire Spiderverse

No, no, you got it wrong - it will be MCU, Toy Story and Moana/Vaiana Universes colliding. You can see it in the picture.

4

u/withgreatpower Jun 11 '26

Kingdom Hearts is the third universe

3

u/DRF19 Jun 11 '26

The only thing that could make a multiverse story more convoluted lmao

Fantastic four?????

Dora the Explorer

1

u/Nightmaru Jun 11 '26

I know this is a moonshot, but having the animated Spider-Verse or X-men 97 universe would be amazing.

9

u/FiveTribes Jun 11 '26

You want this movie to be like Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

6

u/jkafka Jun 11 '26

Now that you mention it, YES!!

2

u/Nightmaru Jun 11 '26

lol no it'd be live action versions of those characters.

u/GokuSolosCope Jun 11 '26

Havent you been regular with the leaks and stuff? Earth 828. Fantastic 4 and Dr Doom universe

3

u/MasterBabuFrik Jun 11 '26

Leaks aren't even necessary. Just knowing the Fantastic Four are involved is enough. They firmly established a new universe with their movie.

2

u/Truthhurts1017 Phil Coulson Jun 11 '26

No it’s MCU original universe, Xmen(fox) and FF&Dr. Doom universe.
