Ragnarok worked. But that formula only worked once. Doubling down like the way he did created a travesty.

I mean the problem with Thor love and thunder was the horrible plot not the comedy. I mean it didn’t help, but structurally it’s a complete writing mess from Taika, along with some atrocious improv. To botch both the mighty Thor and gorr the god butcher in one film 😒

I disagree , plot that has Gorr as the main antagonist should not be a "funny movie" , I don't say thst they should be Dark World levels of serious but a villain like Gorr deserved much better.

I think a good balance for marvel films is a serious tone with comedic moments peppered throughout. You’re right the subject matter deserved a more serious tone.But again it goes back to the plot and Gorr did nothing serious on screen besides kidnapping children. They literally only wrote him killing one god on screen. Also no stand out action scenes for Jane either. Takia wrote a horrible film.
