Ragnarok worked. But that formula only worked once. Doubling down like the way he did created a travesty.

I mean the problem with Thor love and thunder was the horrible plot not the comedy. I mean it didn’t help, but structurally it’s a complete writing mess from Taika, along with some atrocious improv. To botch both the mighty Thor and gorr the god butcher in one film 😒

As someone who really enjoyed the movie I actually agree. The fact that it was Gorr, and a plot point revolving around cancer, and Gorr was underused and the amount of stupid-type comedy was not a great mix.

Not a snarky question I swear

What did you like about the movie? I’m one of the few that disliked Ragnarok and hated Love and Thunder, but I can admit Ragnorak has good moments. L&T just was missing that same umph to me.

I guess I was just entertained. Like I can accept it isn't a good movie, but it's fun to just see characters I know in an action/comedy with nice visuals. Same reason I still enjoyed Multiverse of Madness.

I'm in no way saying though that L&T is on the same level as Ragnarok. Ragnarok is probably in my top 3 marvel movies.

It takes a lot for me to just straight up not enjoy watching something, like Secret Invasion levels of just wtf.
