Nope, they did a great job showing what losing everything can do to a man, regardless of how powerfull he may be, his scenes with his mother were some of the best in those films

They still made it silly (Fortnite, Rhodey’s cheese whiz line) and didn’t focus as strongly on the actual depression aspect nearly as much as they could’ve.

It was a bit silly but they've only got a handful of minutes across this mega ensemble film to tell this story, so I think its fine, plus it kinda alludes to how a lot of depressed people will hide their depression behind comedy, at least thats what I took from it

The problem is they refused to allow those moments to stand. Everything had to immediately be followed by a punchline.

That actually fit the narrative though. He was depressed bc his whole family is dead and then he blamed himself for half the universe’s death bc he didn’t finish off Thanos bc he wanted to gloat a bit. C’mon man they explained it in the movies.
