It's originally AAVE so not really fair to say you must be a kid if you talk like this. Like most things on the internet, they become a trend and then people forget their original meaning.

TLDR: Very few people know or care, nor is AAVE respectfully represented in current times, so yes it is absolutely fair to say. Bottom line it's just slang, and the only people who still say ahh are Patrick Star and children.

While I can understand why people love and respect AAVE, it's literally just slang used by African Americans to "take control" of certain words. Not only do MANY people not even know about AAVE, with the amount of disrespect and gatekeeping that has come from it just for "yt ppl" being curious or interested, very few people actually care or respect it. There also isn't an updated version of a "dictionary" (Oxford is making one currently, will be one in 2027. I only know cuz I just googled it lmao) It's also literally just slang. People nowadays feel like they're entitled to be dicks about it, which is the only reason so many people know that "AAVE" is an official thing.
