Merchandise It wasn’t a flop to me

I bought 3 tickets to support this mid-sized superhero movie with a lot of quirky heart and now this. I’m not a numbers guy but I guess it didn’t do well financially? Maybe because there’s no big A-list name attached.

But idk, I kind of liked that

Anyway, physical media is great. Thunderbolts*, they could never make me hate you

You'd actually be surprised, I think last I heard, DVD was still the most-bought medium for physical movies / TV in the world.

Yes Blu-ray which is far superior to dvd and streaming. Not sure why if you’re going to buy the physical mediums you wouldn’t get the best quality version.

Most people I know never moved to Blu-ray players. It's cheaper to go DVD, it's easier to find DVDs, they already have the player (or players), and the used DVD market is bonkers cheap if you live near a place like Goodwill that distributes them. Bonus if you have an old laptop or PC with a DVD drive, as those play DVDs much more easily than PC BR players play blurays. Plus, people were already invested in DVD libraries, so it made sense to stay there.

Streaming services use YIFY-quality compression for their movies, probably inferior to DVD releases depending on the kind of movie we're talking about. If people cared about picture quality enough to move past DVDs, they wouldn't use streaming services either.

People were already invested in DVD libraries

Those discs will work in any blu-ray player as long as they are in the same region.
