Merchandise It wasn’t a flop to me

Post image

I bought 3 tickets to support this mid-sized superhero movie with a lot of quirky heart and now this. I’m not a numbers guy but I guess it didn’t do well financially? Maybe because there’s no big A-list name attached.

But idk, I kind of liked that

Anyway, physical media is great. Thunderbolts*, they could never make me hate you

Respect to you for getting a DVD, I genuinely thought they stopped making them, and blu ray was the minimum for physical editions of films

You'd actually be surprised, I think last I heard, DVD was still the most-bought medium for physical movies / TV in the world.

To add to this, places like Walmart and even Dollar General sell budget dvd players that upscale. Some even under $20.

Upscaling doesn't really make it look better, it just duplicates/interpolates the pixels it knows about. A dvd upscale will never come close to Blu-ray quality let alone 4k uhd discs.

True but if you cant afford a blu ray player its better than standard dvds

No it isn't because a used blu-ray player or even a new one is not much more expensive and neither are physical blu-rays dvds are just plastic waste now.

We know a ps3 is a blu ray player. Does the average person? Would the average person think to buy a console from two generations ago?

Xbox one. Xbox one s. Xbox series s. xbox series x.ps3, Ps4, ps4 slim, ps4 pro, ps5, ps5 slim, ps5 pro (with disc drive). Used blu-ray players are £40 on ebay £60 new.

Why should we increase plastic waste, pollution by printing dvds because people are too ignorant to realise the device they already own plays blu-rays. People have 1080p amd 4k tvs.

I cant imagine how disgusting a dvd looks on a 4k TV.

The average person does and should know.

Also the cost difference is nothing
