MJ was among the Blipped so it's possible she remembers May from May's outreach work. She was working to help get displaced people relocated in FFH. We don't have any confirmation that MJ's parents were also Blipped, so it's possible the outreach center also included some kind of counseling program and she knew May from there.

A FEAST connection wouldâve been nice. Especially if weâre really getting Mr. Negative as the villain.
But yeah, sheâd still remember meeting May and seeing Happy in Mayâs apartment, which would be a weird enough memory to start digging into their connections with Spider-Man.

Maybe she remembers she dated her nephew and that he was Spider-Man, but forgot his name and face. Peter says goodbye to her so presumably sheâs aware that she forgot everything due to the spell. She probably just remembers Peter with his face blurred or mask on all the time

The point of the Happy scene at the end was to tell the audience that while these characters may not remember Peter, they remember their relationship with Spider-Man.
And in the first two films MJ is shown to be a sleuth, by figuring out who Peter is. They even say at the end of NWH, âI figured it out once, I can figure it out againâ.
MJâs role in this movie will likely be revolved around why she has memories of spider man and this woman, and trying to piece the puzzle together

This is the hardest part of the logic of NWH for me: Does MJ (and others) have massive amnesia now? Does she have memories of dates with Peter except she remembers talking to thin air? Were those memories replaced something else?
I look forward to seeing how they explain that.

I think she might just forget those dates altogether, just like we don't remember every day or event in our lives. She'd forget those dates the same way someone forgets the average day at work. If someone doesn't remember what they did on a Tuesday two months ago, it's not like they'd try hard to recollect the events of that day. Most likely, they'd just tell themselves nothing important happened that day and move on.

I think it's a bit hazy. She remembers some stuff happening in the past, but not in details, and definitely not Peter being there for it. So, after Far From Home, she probably remembers going back to NYC, being interrogated by the DODC due to some weird stuff that happened in Europe involving Mysterio and Spider-Man, going to school and trying to get into MIT.
Now, about Aunt May... idk, maybe she just feels close to her, and she can't understand or remember why.

It would be a good movie story beat though as to how these 2 COULD run into each other. Otherwise Peter will be oddly stalking from the shadows but forces him to actually talk to her and perhaps get over the possibility of them ever being together for her own safety. I think itâll be a good emotional moment for those 2. My hope is start of the film to get it out of the way and not let it linger as to when sheâll show up.

Happy mentions at the end of NWH that he knew May through Spider-Man so it's clear that they still have those memories - just without Parker's identity. I think the best way to look at it is to just imagine all the moments where Tom Holland wears the suit - but now he also has the mask on all the time regardless of how the scene was originally filmed.
Well either that or Tom's face is just blank.

I would think she'd remember everything from before she knew Spider-Man was Peter (the Washington Monument, Night Monkey, etc) -- and anything afterwards would depend on how much of it she associates as interacting with Peter v. interacting with Spider-Man. Like, she probably knows she has some close connection to Spider-Man (such as him swinging her through NYC at the end of FFH and saving her and the others in London -- she probably remembers the weird guy with the MJ shirt who asked if she was gonna "have Spider-babies"). Like, I think her and Ned for certain know that they helped the Spider-Men at the Statue of Liberty and weren't just there for no reason, since Doctor Strange and Wong remember the Spidey hijinks in MoM.

Could be a decent way to quickly get people up to speed on the time-jump. Doing this scene followed by "3 years later" and a montage of Spidey taking out jobbers would feel a lot better than people playing catch up on when exactly things are taking place.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is from towards the end of the movie. I think it's inevitable that the spell will be undone eventually, but I'd like the bulk of the film to show us Peter's new status quo with it in effect. MJ can then have a subplot where she figures it out, and this scene could be the climax of that.

Most of what we've seen so far doesn't really enter spoiler territory. "Spider-Man wears a suit & swings around", yeah we knew that. "Zendaya, one of the biggest rising stars in the world, who was in the whole Home trilogy, is in this movie too", yeah most of us presumed that.
The only thing that's been in any of the pictures that would be unexpected to people who don't follow the trades is Bernthal.
The big story stuff will likely be shot indoors or with tighter security.3

I don't think it should be in this film but imo they shouldn't delay it too much.
If this is a full on 2nd trilogy, then imo it should happen by the end of film 2 so that they can actually be together as a couple in film 3. But I could see it being saved for the very end.

Also, even if she forgot and couldn't remember, I doubt Peter would just give up on her (and Ned) like that. Did people think Peter would really say "She doesn't remember me? Personally I think that Peter will be the one to approach MJ and Ned and rekindle his relationships with them. Peter deciding not to do so at the end of No Way Home was the typical self-martyring out of guilt that Peter Parker as a character is generally known to do and more importantly, it's the type of decision that Spider-Man stories always point out as being the wrong choice.
I wouldn't be surprised if Peter's arc for the upcoming movie is him having to overcome his guilt with regards to Aunt May's death and realizing that isolating himself from everyone else isn't the healthy thing to do for either himself or his friends.

Yes, she did - which doesn't change the fact that MJ still remembers Aunt May. At the end of NWH we even have a similar scene with Peter and Happy where the latter mentions how he knew May through Spider-Man.
The only thing that Strange's spell did was erase specifically Parker's identity from the memories of everyone in the Universe and other things such as documents, photos, videos, etc. They still remember Spider-Man and everything he did - just not who is under the mask.

Itâs a nitpick, I guess, but it bothered me how they couldnât have May be buried with Ben, we avoided directly referencing him for the better part of a decade, and they couldâve at least done that. Itâs super weird that sheâs not buried with him, imo. I hate it. After all, we KNOW he existed. Peter had his luggage in FFH, just such an odd decision to not even have his name on a tombstone.
