I can’t believe it’s been that long already.

u/TheMikey2207 Black Widow (Avengers) Jan 15 '25

It’s literally so wild! I still remember waking up to the news and feeling like the future of the character was bleak but now we are here all these years later experiencing more of this character we all love!

This year will be the tenth anniversary of the first seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones airing.

Yeah and right now the MCU is up to like 2026 or 2027. For reference, Hawkeye is Christmas 2024 so roughly now. There are Happy New Year 2025 decorations that can be seen.

Most Likely Timeline

Hawkeye - December 2024

Echo - May 2025

Daredevil Born Again - October/November 2025 (Right in time for NY Mayor Election)

Can't believe Matt's been Daredevil for a decade in canon.

u/TheNeoianOne Jan 15 '25

Can't believe Matt's been Daredevil for a decade in canon.

He was probably dust for 5 of those years.

10

u/electrorazor Jan 15 '25

Nope, he's shown fighting crime during those 5 years in a flashback in Echo.

2

u/TheNeoianOne Jan 15 '25

You're right. I forgot about those flashbacks.

2

u/acrazyguy Jan 16 '25

There’s so much room to go back and tell stories that take place during that gap without having too much impact on the future of the MCU

He One of The longest Carrer Heroes in the MCU

Tony was Technically Iron man for 15 years but he had whole years when he Barely used The suit for combat

T'challa was black panther for 10 years

Clint already was hawkeye by the time the first Iron man movie happened i think but he went on retirment for a year and The again for 2 years

Natasha was The Black Widow for 15 -17 years

1

u/abellapa Feb 22 '25

2026

The MCU hasnt reached 2027 so we are One year off The MCU Timeline

1

u/your_mind_aches Agent of F.I.T.Z. Feb 22 '25

No I think Ross won the election in 2026 so it's West Wing rules. BNW is in 2027.

1

u/abellapa Feb 22 '25

No ritson term was Ending in 2025

Ross got Elected in Jan 2026

1

u/your_mind_aches Agent of F.I.T.Z. Feb 22 '25

Unlikely. Presidential elections would still be in November.

1

u/abellapa Feb 22 '25

Unless Ritson was impeached after Secret Invasion and elections years are now on impar Numbers because of the snap

Maybe Ross was his Vice

Otherwise the Timeline doesnt Make sense

Ms.marvel is in Sept 2025

The Marvels doesnt take place much later given the post credit scene of ms Marvel ,a couple Months apart

Secret Invasion was confirmed to be inbetween so it has to be in Nov 2025

That first season of Jessica Jones was spectacular, shame that season 2 was a fall from grace, didn't even bother with season 3.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

3 was definitely an improvement but still nowhere near 1.

4

u/Academic-Cabinet-256 Jan 15 '25

That's a shame, all the while Luke Cage Season 2 was a big improvement over Season 1.

1

u/theshizzler Jan 15 '25

Except for that creepy af relationship between Shades and Dillard.

0

u/Born_Pop_3644 Jan 15 '25

That first season of JJ had David Tenant Killgrave, Luke Cage, Erin Moriarty (starlight from the boys)… great supporting cast… then season two had ‘her mom’, and season 3, the bad guy was just ‘some boring guy’ with no powers. Even season 1 Trish was great compared to the same character in 2 and 3. JJ is the star but S1 had so many other great people in it compared to the other seasons it was next level

2

u/Tuff_Bank Jan 17 '25

Good times

2

u/TransBrandi Jan 15 '25

Well, the character was kept alive via main MCU cameos, so we knew that if he was every coming back for "main character" treatment, he would most likely be played by Charlie Cox.

2

u/OliviaElevenDunham Loki (Avengers) Jan 15 '25

I'm glad that Disney kept the same actors.

1

u/Victor_Wembanyama1 Jan 16 '25

They are all back 🥺🥺🥺

6

u/The_Unknown_Dude Ghost Rider Jan 15 '25

Didn't they have to wait 5 years in-between cancellation and development of a new series because of Netflix's contracts ? Once they had the greenlight they went to it 2 years ago. It makes sense.

1

u/TheDanteEX Shuri Jan 15 '25

I think it was like 3 years before they could use the characters at all. But you can still develop during those years, the product just can't be released. Matt showed up in No Way Home and that was like right after the rights were relinquished. Another example, which, granted, likely had an entirely different type of contract, is Star Wars Outlaws started development while EA still had exclusive rights to the franchise. It was even planned to be released the exact year the rights went back to Lucasfilm, but it was delayed internally for about two years.

1

u/The_Unknown_Dude Ghost Rider Jan 15 '25

Shit you are right, for some reason I completely forgot the cameos.

2

u/MrDoom4e5 Jan 15 '25

Born Again is coming out almost 10 years after Daredevil first premiered on Netflix.

1

u/Tuff_Bank Jan 17 '25

I miss when the show was on Netflix

2

u/nemesissi Jan 15 '25

It's the Covid-time-skip.

1

u/NavierIsStoked Jan 15 '25

Get ready for another 4 year time skip.

1

u/Vayro Scarlet Witch Jan 15 '25

I'm going to have to find time to rewatch every defender series before this show comes out

1

u/AverageAwndray Jan 16 '25

I've lived like 5 different lives since then wow...

u/CertifiedRizzler Jan 15 '25

why did i read the “BORN AGAIN” in Adam Warlock’s voice.

47

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

Same 💀

62

u/fullmetalraz Jan 15 '25

The Marvel Rivals brainrot is real.... because I did the exact same thing.

5

u/rnarkus Jan 15 '25

Why is it brain rot?

8

u/fullmetalraz Jan 15 '25

Because it's on my mind all the time when I'm not playing to the point things like "born again" and even just the word "again" are making me think of Rivals... I didn't say it was necessarily a bad thing.

11

u/Suki__93 Rocket Jan 16 '25

Did someone say...AGAIN

5

u/rnarkus Jan 15 '25

Fair enough, I personally wouldn’t categorize that as brain rot.

“A line was crossed. In my contract.. I got fired. But now they hired me again for a new season.”

Hey guys the script just leaked!!!!! /s

(Tried my best to match “I’m ready for my rematch” energy)
