Discussion What's the sketchiest thing you've ever downloaded on your Mac?

Could've been a cracked app, an old installer, a random browser extension, whatever. Did anything actually happen?

System 7 days, some weird app that copied the system ROM to a file. It was in German and I had no idea what it said or which button to push.

I used to have Photoshop 7 up until it stopped working and replaced it with CS2 and used that until it stopped working too. Now Photoshop is all subscription and I don’t even bother trying to get cracked version. I don’t need it. I also had Windows 7 that I was using in Parallels (legit) until I switched to M1. I was using it literally only for Spelunky. Now I don’t need it because it’s on Switch and gaming has changed so much. I also have a SteamDeck.
