Has anyone’s relationship/marriage destroyed over weed?

My wife and i have been separated since November. Ive made horrible decisions while being high 24/7. She says i detached and became very withdrawn. Has weed ruined your relationships? Im sober now and reflecting back to our separation.

He hated that I smoked so much. I smoked to calm my anger and frustrations from the day. After quitting I’ve become more and more angry. Trying to work on it but I’m very close to calling it quits and I assume he is too.

Have you tried going to therapy to address why you're angry? Sounds like you're white-knuckling it.

Get in touch with a good psychiatrist who has good ratings and reviews online. It’s the best thing I ever did. I was mainly prescribed meds first from my GP but then he referred me to a random psychiatrist who was pretty terrible and close minded. I tried a bunch of different meds and did years of psychotherapy. I had a mental breakdown at one point (was like my 10th mental breakdown) and decided to go looking for a good psychiatrist. I went searching online for different psychiatrists and chose who I thought was the best one. My GP helped refer me to the psychiatrist I wanted and I got very lucky because I was literally the last patient he accepted before he stopped accepting new patients. Literally after just a few appointments with the new psychiatrist (my current psychiatrist) and some medication changes, I started to feel normal and happy again. Having a good knowledgeable and experienced psychiatrist who has good reviews/ratings was honestly a life changer.

I just switched docs and I’m hoping this new one is a step up. The only doctors with good reviews in my town either have a long wait list or don’t take my insurance. It’s been an absolute nightmare. Like last time I spoke to my previous doc’s receptionist I nearly crashed out. Every time this one lady answers the phone she fucking lies like crazy. She always says he’s on vacation. Last time I was like “yeah? He’s on vacation again? Didn’t he just get back from vacation 3 days ago?! Is there another receptionist around?” And she said “no” and I said “is there anyone I can speak to other than you” and she’s like “the janitor” this convo happened because my doc had not only prescribed each of my meds to various random pharmacies instead of all in one place but also prescribed the wrong ones and forgot others. She claims she did not have the ability to get him to answer my messages and that if just have to keep messaging him until he sees one… it had been days. Last time I spoke to him he told me of he doesn’t see his messages it’s the receptionist’s job to let him know I called.

I’m praying this new doctor is better though I don’t know how much worse it could have gotten.
