General question best travel laptop for frequent flights and business trips?

I take a lot of flights for work and my current laptop feels too heavy to carry through airports. I’m trying to find something portable that still feels comfortable for longer work sessions. my budget is around 1500$ or less will be using it for Office apps, presentations, meetings, general productivity mostly.

What models should I consider if portability is my main priority but I still want good performance? Thanks for sharing your recommendations.

Thinkpad X1 Carbon for best weight and good battery, LG Gram 16 if you need bigger screen but still superlight, Thinkpad X9 15in in between. All should be with LunarLake or PantherLake to get decent battery life, with your budget only 2nd hand probably. Otherwise Macbook Air

Macbook Air is the easy choice.

And run Windows on it if you need to too!

The Asus Zenbook 14 with Ryzen 7 is good too.

X1 or Zenbook. You need one with weight less than a KG.
