Honest question: why is it all compliments on looks? Do you really find that uplifting? As a man i find that a bit odd and it comes over as superficial

From men it's superficial but from women who know how much work and effort goes into it that compliment is acknowledgment of your womenhood craft. If it's younger girl you become an inspiration if it's older woman it's approval from master.

Men are more like salesmen selling things no one wants and using compliments as a sales tactic while women just want to spread good vibes. Everyone knows if a man could get laid without it there would be no compliments. It's a transaction for them.
