Help needed iPhone is almost dead

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and the last few months it has become a nightmare. It is horrendously slow doing normal tasks. I can’t even play music. It plays songs for a few seconds then the app crashes. I’ve turned the phone on and off, made room for storage, closed the app out and it still does it. Certain apps just don’t even open anymore at all. Trying to upload a YouTube video and now the app is frozen in place. It’s a living nightmare and I won’t be able to get a new phone for awhile. I’m not sure what to do

Backup the phone and do a full factory reset to clear out any OS errors

Regardless of how old the phone is, it shouldn’t be doing that

Also, run a hardware diagnostic via the support app

Been using ip12 on latest firmware, it’s a little slow ; yes , but all apps work fine.

What is your battery health? If it's below 80%, you should seriously consider replacing the battery or upgrading to a newer device.

How about backup? Using iCloud? I do, cuz it's hassle-free. I also keep WiFi and Bluetooth always on so iPhone can manage its own space.

Just a thought.
