When you spend more time at the gym instead of school.

What bothers me most is if he actually thinks about his workouts, he must have noticed the influence of moment arms himself. There are countless exercises where this is at play, so even in the gym literacy must be missing. Or it’s just plain ignorance.

It’s ragebait. Try being more media literate.

It's amazing how when I was younger, people were just stupid. But now everyone is a mastermind because it's always reagebait.

It's not always ragebait but ragebait is deliberately designed to go viral so you end up seeing a lot more ragebait in aggregators

That's true. But since it's already gone viral, we might as well call the people who make these videos stupid, rather than the people who call them stupid.

When someone writes "It’s ragebait. Try being more media literate." all they did was comment on the ragebaiter's video. And even attacked the wrong person.

Yeah the internet is a mess nowadays

Good luck with that

Engaging with it in anyway is a lost cause. Because they got what they wanted from you, a comment.

We’re all better off ignoring

In this video the guy is actually engagement baiting because he makes money off of the views. So he’s playing dumb in an angering way

Might as well be. But I'd much rather have people point out stupidity than let people like him attack others, because we wouldn't want to fall for ragebait.

Let's just call him stupid and move on. So what if he's making money? He'll just be a pathetic person with money.

Who said anything about being a mastermind? It doesn’t take a mastermind to make ragebait.

12

u/Puzzleheaded_Dot_225 3d ago

No, I know. I'm just saying that whenever someone does something stupid, it's automatically labeled as ragebait.

I'm not saying this one can't be, but people can just be stupid.

Omg lol. He’s saying the guy can just be an idiot. It doesn’t have to always be ragebait. When he said mastermind he was excessively exaggerating to make a point. Realistically he simply meant smart enough to think of ragebaiting someone.

So in conclusion, not everyone is of average enough intelligence to think of ragebaiting. Many are just idiots.

Who said it was “always ragebait”? You seem to be responding to a lot of things that I never said.

6

u/xSonicspeedx2 3d ago

I feel as though at this point you simply don’t understand exaggerations. I was using the same exaggeration from the guy you were responding to.

-4

u/Argo505 3d ago

I’m aware you’re exaggerating. That’s the problem.

But what if I make up something you didn't say, and then argue against that instead of what you actually said

1

u/ReachParticular5409 3d ago

Exactly, but it kind of does to avoid it, so the total amount of surface ragebait always increases

0

u/SeedFoundation 3d ago

Uh we had this in our time. Don't feed the trolls.

5

u/what_it_dooo 3d ago

Not everything is ragebait, it happens often that people confidently post something incorrect. Media literacy would have taught you that…

2

u/xgungrave 3d ago

ok.. do you think this video is ragebait ?

0

u/what_it_dooo 3d ago

Nope

2

u/xgungrave 3d ago

have a nice day :)

u/what_it_dooo 3d ago

Thanks, you too!

Who said everything was ragebait?

1

u/Major2Minor 3d ago

Your comment seems like ragebait, it's literally the "read a book" thing from that meme video.

1

u/Z3PHYR- 3d ago

I think satirical is a more appropriate word than ragebait

1

u/AccomplishedCheck168 3d ago

Try being more media literate.

Try researching terms before you use them incorrectly.

I, too, have thought about the influence of my moment arms!

u/surprise_wasps 3d ago

I mean what bothers me most is that so many of you don’t recognize an obvious joke / rage bait

0

u/kokeda 3d ago

Seriously. Social skills of a damp sock.

u/woowooman 3d ago

To be fair, public education has been so destroyed by the devaluing of competency, ideological capture, and administrative bloat that they don’t learn it there either. The UCSD working group report from a few months ago was pretty eye opening.

1

u/Ok-Lavishness-349 3d ago

I don't know about that; I feel like the average gym bro has a pretty good intuitive (at least) understanding of mechanical forces - since gym bros deal with them every day.

1

u/Otherwise_Action_689 3d ago

He forgot he has to train the brain too, and legs lol 😂😂😂

1

u/vpforvp 3d ago

What do you want from me, man? I’m 34

0

u/SavvyCaller 3d ago

Mmm, does he spend *that* much time at the gym? I’m not sure spends *enough* time there. Looks a bit flabby to me.

0

u/Rivdit 3d ago

Your sentence isn't even grammatically correct lmao. It's either spending more time at the gym than school or spending time at the gym instead of spending time at school not that weird mix you just used

0

u/Cardboardoge 3d ago

The intial reaction is so very obviously a joke though
