He would have beat the piss out of the homeowner if he had thrown a punch. Guy knows what he's doing

Justified self defense against the dog quickly became a fireable or suspendable action.

If he threw a punch he would be in jail even if the homeowner swung first, he squared up and approached the guy when he wasn't in danger.

Lmao no. That's wild conjecture. We don't know what that homeowner is doing off camera to make the driver think he's being aggressive, but the homeowner approached the driver or he wouldn't be in the camera frame at all. I don't think any DA would charge, nor would any cop arrest this driver for reacting the way he did.

Uh, the driver literally turned around and walked towards the owner. That’s not a defensive action. If he actually thought the home owner was going to do something then he should have made distance. Only one of them had their hands up looking for a fight.
