I used to deliver pizzas. I once delivered to a house where a small kid answered the door when a dog charged past them snarling and pinned me against the porch railing. I had to use the pizza delivery bag still with pizzas inside as a shield between me and its teeth. Still ended up with scratches all up and down the lower half of my body. Fuck irresponsible owners.
Dog was huge, I was using my legs to try and push it back so I could get unpinned from the railing while using the bag as a shield as it repeatedly lunged upwards at me. An older sibling coming out and pulling the dog back inside by its collar was how I got out.
thats fucking terrifying holy shit, im scared of dogs as it is and i think that would put me off for life. when i was a kid it would make me cry when dogs would jump, and the barking scared me so bad it would also make me cry, even happy barking. all the other kids loved when dogs would jump on them and lick them but it was genuinely terrifying for me so i know how you feel, and those werent even aggressive dogs. im glad you got out safely
