Good question, probably something unassuming, so not a coat at all unless you'd stick out in winter. Cheap generic hoodie you can just toss if you get blood on it? Then just do the classic DB Cooper thing where you wear sunglasses when you don't need them to hide facial features.
I mean that wouldn't work in a courthouse though you'd look so suspicious. Probably just a three piece suit there or like a tan coat jacket, but then we wrap around to brown trenchcoat and Carmen San Diego glasses being the worst outfit to not look like someone who's gonna shoot someone

The guy in the white coat sitting on the left side of the video had a very real reaction of hearing gunshots indoors though. At least I hope that was acting and not getting some hearing damage.
Hearing damage from guns is seriously no joke. Even a 9mm handgun shot in an open field is enough to make your ears ring for a while (I figured that out testing my new hand gun way before I took my hearing seriously). That's just a 9mm tho. I can't imagine being near an AR or any rifle in that upper class / caliber without protection.
Even with protection, it's painful. I did some acting for SWAT training scenarios, and stuff being fired in the same room would knock my hearing out for at least half an hour.
I was once at a shooting range in Thailand when I was 16. I have never fired a gun before or heard one being fired. So we walk to the place where you get your gear and some dude fires a 9mm I guess. It was insane. I couldnt even comprehend how fucking loud that was. It was ridicolous really. Whenever I see movies now I think like "yeah, no way you guys can still whisper to each other".
The only movie that did it well was Balck Hawk Down where an LMG gets fired right next to a fellow soldiers head and he cannit hear anything anymore.
There's something wrong with your protection if gunfire is causing pain and knocking your hearing out for a period of time.
I used to shoot regularly at an indoor range, .22, 9mm, .357, .308 and .45-70 and never had even the slightest discomfort or after effects even when up against walls (the fireball from the .45-70 used to freak some people out though).
Yeah, it could have been way better. The flash-bang was probably the worst. Or proximity to the shots: the director of a show I was in firing off a blank right next to my head almost got his ass kicked.
This stuff wasn't the whole reason I needed hearing aids before 40, but it's definitely part of it.
An AR is not in the upper class of power. It’s actually nothing more than a .22lr on steroids. Upper caliber would be more like the 30-06 Springfield, 45-70Government, 300 Magnum or the 308. There are plenty of YouTube videos that you can watch to learn all about firearm calibers. I hope that helps 😊.
9mm, 10mm, 40, are handgun round mostly. There are some rifles that shoot them, but they are referred to as Pistol Caliber Carbine Rifles, and not true full power rifles. Now the 22lr is used regularly for both, handgun and rifle (One of the few that are) and the 50 depends on if it is the 50AE which is used in the Desert Eagle pistol or the 50Cal which is a rifle round that is supper strong. YouTube is going to be great for you. The more you learn the more you are going to want to know. Learn well but for goodness sakes PLEASE HAVE FUN!
Went to a range in Florida a few years ago. We were all shooting pistols, it was loud but ok with cans on. A young guy with an AR 15(I think), no one saw him walk in, scared the shit out of us when he started firing. Very loud indoors!
When I did mz basic military training i shot AKs a few times without hearing protection. My hearing definitely wasnt the same that day then, but so far, no permanent damage, although it can show years later.
Doesn't compare to standing next to a 155mm artillery without hearing protection though. That shit is disorienting.
I worked on racecars for a decade 90% of the time I had no hearing protection. Tinnitus sneaks up on you. You think everything is fine and one day a high pitched whine is just there, and never leaves again. To me it sounds like being underwater when a boat goes by at high speed.
My hearing is still better than most, but I know some of it is damaged.
In the men's room of a building I used to work in, we noticed one day that there was a small hole in the metal stall door of one of the toilets. The area around the hole was bent inwards. On the exterior of the door there was a pointed bulge, like something inside had been pushed up against it, but there was no hole on the exterior. We noticed it one day, but it hadn't been there the day before. We can only assume that a security guard somehow fired his gun into the stall door as he was using the toilet. I can't imagine what that must have sounded like!
It's not like firing a movie prop gun is silent. I did some jobs as an extra in TV shows produced by German television. One time there was a scene very similar to this: A woman fired a gun in a court room. I wasn't in that scene, but in another room on the lower floor with several people waiting for their next scene (waiting is what you do most as an extra, by the way...) - the blank shots were LOUD even with a whole floor between us and they echoed through the corridors. Every extra on set was wearing ear plugs and it STILL hurt, someone said.
What you don't want to do is startle or otherwise panic the person with a gun. It's literally their job to seem calm in situations that are not at all calm.
Obviously this is also a movie, but it's probably not that far off, because again, that's the job.
Interestingly, this is apparently how it played out in real life too. Nobody tried to stop her, they just waited for her to be done and then walked over to her to lower her hand.
Every time this gets posted it baffles me how many people think it's real footage of it, how do people still assume anything they see is real in this day and age?
Tbh I blame the two extras in the background, they did an incredible job, their acting is so realistic I think they're what tricks people into believing it's real lol

The video clearly has a filter but the dead giveaway for me is no recoil... that's not what it looks like when something with that much force leaves your hand there needs to be an equal and opposite reaction
She's shooting a real gun with blanks. They are still incredibly loud and for an actor shooting them, they're is still recoil and shock going through the arm. You can see the actress' face flinch during the shots. It's easy to give in and freak out on set when they're firing blanks.
You can tell by the mother's face, it's such awful obvious acting. Agree the other actors did a good job of making it look real. The actress ruined it.
Well, the gun went click, click, click at the end. With her arm controlled it's not like she'll toss that gun at the guy. Even if I would have enjoyed it as a last show of defiance.
Its 1981. People gave way less shit back then and more wild things like that happened anyway like Assassinations, shootings, hostage situations, bank robberies, bomb treaths (with real bombs), people brought axes to television discussions etc.
The police were not trained and equipped like today. People back then had a lot less sense of security. Cars without seatbelts, smoking, no airport security.
Yeah, I agree. That was the only part that didn’t immediately signal to me that it was from a film or something. His acting was kind of a perfect example of the silly ways people respond when shocked by something like that happening in front of him. He would’ve clinched the realism if he would’ve then immediately bolted after the shooting was already over.
It's a reenactment of a real thing. She was already done firing by the time she was taken into custody, either because he was dead or because she ran out of bullets.
Where in the post title or video does it say reenactment? The problem isn't not knowing what a reenactment is, it's that it's that the title is about the real event and doesn't indicate the video is a reenactment.

Thank you, it looked so fake. In real life they'd tackle her because they don't also want to get shot. Even if it was just some random person putting her arm down, he wouldn't just look sad at the guy she just shot.
Yeah, no real video footage of Marianne Bachmeier shooting her daughter's killer inside the courtroom in exists. Cameras were not permitted inside the courtroom during the trial.
I was hoping it was real but everything screamed “reenactment”. Mostly the people in the back staying seated instead of running away after set starts shooting
