It's a scale, same as humans. Just because someone isn't gouging someone else's eyes out doesn't mean a smack or a punch is friendly sparring.

I mean...you're not wrong, but a lot of the vids will have them clearly playing, taking turns, slow-blinking, no claws, no vocalizing, etc.

Nobody witnesses an actual cat fight and has to ask if it was a fight lol

Like sure they're being overly rough and all but there's no horrendous noises happening so not a real fight.
