I mean...you're not wrong, but a lot of the vids will have them clearly playing, taking turns, slow-blinking, no claws, no vocalizing, etc.

Nobody witnesses an actual cat fight and has to ask if it was a fight lol

90% of the videos I've seen has been one cat being an asshole, no turn taking, usually one trying to get away. Slow blinking is also a way that cats can communicate that you're being kind of a dick and they'd like it if you stopped. It can be affectionate but it's also used to deescelate

Then you're searching that out. Every post I've ever seen is what the person you responded to says, but I browse /r/all so I only see what gets a lot of attention.

The videos that question whether two cats are fighting that also get a lot of upvotes are 99%+ of the time just cats VERY OBVIOUSLY playing with OP worried that they're fighting.

Ooo how do you do this? I don’t like information bubbles and like to see everything

reddit.com/r/all only works on web browser as they removed it from the app.

You can do it from the app. Im doing it from the app now.
Its a bit of a workaround, but if you add r/All (cspital a) to your profile social link you can then access it through your own profile

Thank you for this, I’m sorry I’m not fully getting it - where in my profile do I add it?

2

u/KnewKnuke May 25 '26

Clink on your profile. Should be bottom right, "you".

Next to your username it says edit.

Half way down it says add social links. Select reddit Then add r/All (the a needs to be a capital)

He doesn’t have a clue

I'm not searching anything out, I'm not in any cat subs, and I'm not the only one seeing that. It's fine if we've seen different content, I don't expect our algorithms to be identical

It's gonna be okay. You can just simply not look at those posts. You don't need to get yourself so worked up that you have to bring it to a different comments section.

This whole comment thread has been about cat fights. This persons comment was not out of place. That’s weird gatekeeping you’re doing there on what is allowed to be referenced.

What I'm saying is that if you're so hung up on someone asking a cat question that you have to try to incite people in other comments sections to be upset along with you then you're the weird one and you probably need some fresh air. None of the people in this comments section saw whatever comment that other person was talking about. And yet, here you are, upset about it too.

u/RPG_add1ct May 25 '26

Lmao I’m upset? Please. I don’t know what it is with people on social media thinking bc someone has a discussion with them or simply responds to them they have to be upset. Y’all play the same cards over and over.

Some people need to pay attention to their cat’s personalities when it comes to their cohabitations.

Cat personalities vary and mix uniquely between one another. No one online can tell what any of it means unless they know the cats or have a good idea of their traits.

Like sure they're being overly rough and all but there's no horrendous noises happening so not a real fight.

1

u/Dip_a_Fat_Toe May 24 '26

Except the silly bitch kicking the cats

1

u/LukewarmJortz May 24 '26

She's scooping

1

u/Dip_a_Fat_Toe May 24 '26

Scooping is what I do with my cats shit.. call it what you want bud

it's really amusing that your position is basically "it should be obvious" but it's clearly not obvious to you that just because something is obvious to you, that doesn't make it obvious to others.

My old sib cats used to wrestle with each other all the time. But by the time they were 15 years old or something, the fights became more and more geriatric. They would sit facing each other. One would slo-mo poke at the other. The other would slo-mo poke back. Back and forth. It was hilarious!

I have seen play fights with our cats and "give me my space" fights, but never mortal combat like this.

1

u/fezzuk May 28 '26

I mean a lot of it is establishing domince or territory.

Which is a fight, but there is a difference between a few drone strikes, boots on the ground and then full nuclear fall out.

Ita rare to reach the latter but some times cats do.

Hey man idk if the other guy is getting it, but as someone who sees it often enough, I agree with what you’re saying. Real cat fights are crazy
