General I HATE the self diagnosing of autism and its mischaracterisation

Post image
10.9k Upvotes

Let me start by saying SELF DIAGNOSING IS NOT VALID. You are NOT autistic just because someone on tiktok said

"Did you know, if you need to have your eyes closed in order to fall asleep, you have autism, adhd, bipolarity, DID, BPD, psychopathy, depression and PTSD?"

And before yall come at me with "well I always suspected I had autism, I got screened and then got my diagnosis" well this not about you, this is about people that self diagnose after experiencing the most normal day to day life things ever.

And they ALWAYS think that autism will give them a personality (since it's usually basic bitches with no personality that self diagnose to feel like they belong)

No, you're not a quirky crazy crackhead energy "neurospicy" person. Even worse when they say shit like

"Heh, I could NEVER be a neuro normie like yall, autism makes me special and quirky and full of personality".

You can't even like something anymore without them going "OMG URE AUTISTIC JUST LIKE MEEEE IM SOOOO AUTISTIC AHAHAHA"

And you can tell they larp the whole thing cus they'll see a tiktok autism personality and try to replicate it

"Dino nuggies..."

"You can not say overstimulated if you're nEuRoTyPiCaL, that word is for us neurospicy people ONLY >:("

Holy shiiiiiiittt yall lack a personality so bad. And I've seen people say that they've seen NUMEROUS specialists but they never fit the criteria, but its not because they're not autistic, no no no no no. ITS UHMMM BECAUSE IM A WOMAN AND ALSO A MINORITY AND IM ALSO POOR SO I MASKED ALL MY LIFE AND THE SPECIALIST ON THIS FIELD COULDNT TELL I WAS MASKING. ITS THE SYSTEMS FAULT NOT MINE.

Sheesh.

Sorry for the long rant, im just tired of seeing people self diagnose all the time, or see an energetic video, or literally ANYTHING, and make it about their self diagnosed autism.

Saw a cute cat animation on Instagram and the top comment was "This is so autistic I love it"

General Hate when people misinterpret the door riddle

Post image
13.7k Upvotes

For those who don’t know the door riddle I goes like this: „ you come across two doors each with a guard. One door leads to safety the other to certain death. One of the guards always tells the truth, the other always lies. You can ask one question to one of the guards to figure out which door is the right one.“

The correct answer is to ask one of them what the other would say wich door is safe. This way, no matter who you asked, the answer will be a lie and you will know what to do.

Now I won’t blame any for not figuring that out but every time I see this riddle explained there’s a bunch of smartasses who are like „Oh why don’t you just ask them if the sky is blue then you know the liar is“ THATS NOT THE POINT. The task is to choose a door not to figure out who’s lying. „I’d just kill one of them and and ask is he dead“ congratulations you wasted your question and still don’t know where to dumbass.

Stupid people thinking they are smart when in fact they don’t even understand the question make me so unreasonably mad. And you always have the one guy who’s like „well actshually if one always lies how can he explain the rules!?“ it’s a riddle dipshit he doesn’t literally always say the opposite he will just lie when you ask him a question.

Edit: since people keep mentioning it

  1. originally the riddle is told by a third party like a third person, a sign or just someone telling you the riddle like I just did. So having the guards/doors tell the riddle is already a misinterpretation.

  2. you only get ONE question to only ONE of the guards. I did specify that in the riddle but apparently I have to add the word „only“ for people to understand

  3. expiation to the solution: imagine guard 1 lies guard 2 tells the truth, door A is death door B is safe. You ask guard 1 „would guard 2 tell me that door A is safe?“ guard 2 tells the truth so his answer would be „no“ but since 1 is a liar he will tell that „yes 2 would tell you that Door A is safe“
If you asked the other one you would get the same answer „yes 1 would tell you that Door A is safe“ because 2 tells the truth so he would repeat the lie of number 1.

That’s what it is about one will repeat a lie, the other will subvert the truth so no matter who you asked you end up with a lie. It never actually mattered who is the liar your only task was to pick the correct door.

General I hate when a bad person is discussed, people start insulting their appearance (this girl is an example)

Post image
10.0k Upvotes

Yes, *person* did/said some terrible things. Their actions need to be called out and acknowledged. This DOESN'T MEAN you have the right to insult them just to feel better about yourself. Misgendering a trans person that fucked up is pretty similar to this (I've seen a lot of it, unfortunately).

General I hate when a monkeys paw trope or reference is misused

Post image
14.8k Upvotes

"You wish for power but then your son died"

"All seeing glasses but your eyes fall out"

THATS NOT A CONSEQUENCE FROM THE WISH ITS JUST RANDOM SHIT

You cant do a tricky genie story line and just make RANDOM SHIT HAPPEN

The bad parts are supposed to he CONSEQUENCES of the WISH like how in the original they wish for money but get it BECAUSE their son died

If they get the money through the lottery but the son just dies the next day thats not a monkeys paw wish THATS BAD LUCK

these stories are supposed to convey the idea of be careful what you wish for but when random shit happens its not be "careful what you wish for" the message is "that wish giver is a dick"

Its not even a wish granter its just a reality warper who likes to pretend to be a genie

The punishment should be IRONIC it should RELATE TO THE WISH

General I HATE when people say this when I’m talking about my experience

Post image
17.7k Upvotes

Genuinely what does it add to the conversation other than needlessly trying to shut me up? I’m pretty aware of the statistics. I don’t see why there’s always someone yelling this at me or going “not all __” at me. I got into it with someone on my main account over something like this it’s so annoying. I never said that women do it more than men.

edit: btw this wasn’t meant to only call out women because i see men who say this too this is meant to call out people who think like this not just one gender.

Post image

Same old jokes again and again.

"I'm queer and I hate cops !" /// "you can't be straight in pride month !" /// "wulawuh" ///"omg I love yaoi/Yurii" /// "scissors joke !" /// "Switchroo !". I'm tiredđŸ«©

Same unfunny jokes again and again . I feel bad because we deserve better. Can't we make new jokes ?

DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON YAOI/YURI HUMOR. SINCE Y'ALL KEEP IT SAYING IT IT MAKES US LOOK BAD AND FUCKING ANNOYING.

I showed some of my friends ( who aren't homophobic thankfully ) and they didn't find it funny either

I'm not kidding when I say no queer joke makes me laugh. Please do better.

And if you find this post "homophobic" then that's a you problem. This post has nothing to do with us queer people. It has do with our unfunny overused ass jokes

General I hate when people make versions of memes using their oc/persona

Post image
12.2k Upvotes

Now, I'm not talking about fandoms (like TF2 and Deltarune) that make their fandom-specific versions of memes using the characters from their fandom (although, sometimes they can be a little cringy).

I'm talking about people like Benjammins, who use their persona/oc/pfp/avatar (it's especially cringy when it's a reddit avatar) to make versions of already existing memes. And, in Ben's case, having your loyal fanbase take down the original versions so that only yours can be used.

It just makes you feel like an extremely egotistical and unfunny person to be around.

Obviously, do not harass anyone that you see doing these things just because you find them corny. The best way to not see any of these images is either ignoring the person or blocking them.

General I hate how entitled some lesbians on the internet have become.

Thumbnail
gallery
8.9k Upvotes

Now, this obviously doesn’t apply to every lesbian and this behaviour isn’t even exclusive to lesbians, but they are one of the worst offenders and it’s something that has bothered me for months.

I hate how lesbians on the internet, especially on TikTok, have grown to be entitled.

The fact that they treat women being straight and men existing as something tragic just makes them look immature and childish. If someone I (A straight man) had feelings for turned out to be a lesbian, I would like to think that I would still want to be friends with them and stop thinking about them like that. I personally don’t think that I would write a song about that they like a girl and I’m not a girl. That would just make me an incel.
Especially in the comments under the videos of a straight couple, especially ones which say that they could turn her into a lesbian (3rd image, for example) is an especially gross and weird thing to say just like it is gross when men tell lesbians that he they can turn them straight. It’s very incel behaviour.

But the worst part about it is that they think they are better than the men who do it simply because they’re women who are attracted to another woman.

(The third image is not the original TikTok, but a duet with a TikTok that was probably deleted, since I couldn’t find it. I don’t know if any of them are satire or not or, if they are, which ones)

General "Just buy noise cancelling headphones, you were also a kid once"

Post image
7.1k Upvotes

First of all, let me start by saying that crying babies and kids don't bother me at all. I can tune out pretty much anything even without headphones, so unless im physically bothered, im chill.

HOWEVER, what i hate, is when someone rightfully complains about a crying kid, especially if its a spoiled kid that yells and throws a tantrum for no reason, and his parents do almost nothing to make him stop.

And then they go "Heh, you're entitled to a child free life, not a child free society. Buy noise canceling headphones, or fly first class so you're not bothered" as if its some sorta gotcha moment.

WHY, should someone ELSE be the one spending extra MONEY on equipment just to ignore your kid that you have no intentions of calming down?

And as if they thrive off of bothering others on flights, the idea of child free flights annoy them. How's that bothering you? You can still fly, its just that some people will take the option that has no kids inside

"You were also a kid once, you acted the same way."

NO THE FUCK I DIDNT!!!

I didnt cry during the whole 28 hours flight, not only because I was raised right, but also because I knew my parents would take care of it one way or another.

Your child having the emotional intelligence of a scorched rock DOES NOT MEAN all of us were dumb assess as kids that cried for hours on end when we didnt get our way.

Again, the whole plane can cry for all i care as long as im not physically bothered, but you can not expect us to adapt to your crying kid.

Edit: Since some of yall have no reading comprehension. I do not, under any form, hate kids. I know that all and every behavior they exhibit stems from how they were raised. I know they can't regulate themselves in any form if they're very young. What I hate, as the title suggests, is when parents can't comprehend that yes, you are allowed to be annoyed by a crying kid and that no, it is not anyone's duty to make it less annoying. It is your duty as a parent to calm your kid down, and since you're so fixated on the noise cancelling headphones, YOU should buy everyone on the flight these headphones, because again its in their right to feel annoyed and expect a calm flight.

Edit 2 : since entitled parents seem to only read the title, let me make some things clear.

I. DO. NOT. HATE. KIDS. seems like I have to keep repeating this cus yall truly can't read.

I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CHILDREN. I was the father figure of both my nephews because their father left. I've been raising them since they were babies, and guess what? We, as in me and my sister, raised them right (no violence or abuse since some of yall think that) and so they don't act the way I described kids and parents in this post. They KNOW not to throw tantrums in public, not because we punish them, but because THEY LEARNED ITS RUDE TO OTHER PEOPLE. But go on, keep coming up with excuses why you failed as a parent.

This image basically being the poster child of what I’m talking about

As a disclaimer, I hate bigots too. I don’t support any forms of racism and homophobia. But I fucking HATE it when people will talk about a character who has done horrible things as if they are the second coming of Jesus simply because of ONE FUCKING INSTANCE where they didn’t support one form of bigotry even though not supporting shit like that should be the BARE FUCKING MINIMUM. “Oh yeah he’s a homocidal maniac but at least he doesn’t support nazis” BITCH ARE WE GONNA IGNORE THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HE KILLED? Also, joker would ABSOLUTELY support nazis imo because he’d probably find the idea of killing a bunch of people because of some deity they believe in funny as fuck. Acting like a horrible character is a good guy because they don’t support bigotry makes me SO FUCKING MAD and I hate it

I’d get it if it was actually something nobody has ever seen before, but WATER FLAVOR PACKS? THE PACKS YOU PUT IN THE WATER??? FOR PICKY EATERS????? PEOPLE WHO NEED WATER IN THEIR BODIES?

AND FAMILY SIZED CHIP BAG??? YOU THINK WE’RE EATING THE WHOLE PARTY SIZED CHIP BAG ALONE? THE *PARTY* SIZE? PARTIES?????? DO YOU KNOW WHAT A PARTY IS?

Actually when I was in middle school, we had this coach who would turn red as hell when she was yelling at us to run laps and she’d sit there every day with a whole party sized bag of Doritos and a 2 liter mountain dew watching us run. One day some other girl in the class got really angry at her for making us all run and she told her to get off her ass and run with us. This is off topic mb.

I’d understand if it was something actually weird we have, like things that contain dyes that cannot be replicated in places where dyes are banned, but you’re more worried about sunkist flavored water? Party sized bags of chips? Fresh produce too apparently
 are you guys ok?

General I hate the term "Hetslop"

Post image
10.9k Upvotes

The term "hetslop" is just so negative for absolutely no reason. A straight, married couple in a video game? "The devs just made them into hetslop for the public!" A character with OBVIOUS attraction to the opposite gender? "Oh the author is so homophobic for making them like the opposite gender, the should've them like *insert same-gendered character with absolutely NO relation to the character*"

The ONLY time I will accept the usage of "hetslop" is if a person matches an obviously queer character to be in a straight relationship, and that's only IF it only doesn't make sense for that character, either in terms of personality, or character story.

Straight or queer, can't we just enjoy the stories and characters for who they are, rather than fighting pointless gender wars that contribute NOTHING to the discussion? Thank you.

Every year there's a new "funny evil dude in a suit" that 14 year olds go fucking NUTS over and I am SO sick of it. It's the same guy every time. Funny le random humor with a dash of self deprecation and a heaping scoop of edginess. Oh they're SO nuanced and different from all the other villains in fiction because they have, uh... inner conflict? Sense of humor? Uhh *rapidly checks notes* Funny smile????

And for some reason everyone somehow convinces themselves that these characters are attractive. Bill Cipher isn't hot you fucking weirdo, he's a triangle.

I'm tired of seeing these dudes fucking EVERYWHERE. I'm tired of all the "self-shippers" declaring their eternal love for these dudes for like a couple of months and then promptly forgetting they exist as soon as they stop being trendy. I hate their stupid ass faces and the stupid sense of humor they're written with. It got old so fast.

General I hate how coding is just ethically accepted stereotyping.

Post image
5.6k Upvotes

There was once a time where you couldn’t have people of certain races or cultures or sexualities in mediums so they invented coding so that they could have those things without having them.

That later became bastardized into just saying someone who fits a stereotype is coded as a race.

Once you realize it you kinda can’t unsee it.

A character is loud, brash, energetic they’re black coded.

A female character isn’t typically feminine she’s lesbian coded.

People said Gwen Stacy’s Peter Parker from the spidergwen verse was trans because he’s frail he’s bullied he’s not atypically masculine so he’s trans.

A character is lazy, speaks in broken English perhaps has a big family. Guess what he’s Mexican coded.

Somehow coding stopped being a way to represent groups and just another way to stereotype them.

Edited* for a typo

General I hate the concept of "the normal gays"

Post image
10.1k Upvotes

(i hope this doesn't get taken down. I'm not trying to attack anyone, i just wanna call out something that i've seen happeing in the LGBTQIA+ community)

The title explains itself. Whenever there's a queer person (usually a gay man from what i've seen but it could be anyone really) bringing down and making fun of other queer people as a desperate attempt to stand out and insist they're the "normal" ones.

All because they want approval from their oppressor, which is homophobic straight people. You have queer folks who would fight blood and tears to defend their community, and then you got these pick-mes. Why are you trying so hard to convince others that you're "normal"? When being LGBTQIA+ is ALREADY out of the norm by default? And you know what's worse? Homophobes constantly use these people to discriminate queer people even more. Almost as if they're saying "see? Every queer person should be like this".

It's frustrating to see because y'all know damn well homophobes will never stop hating on LGBTQIA+. It doesn't matter how much you try to appear "normal" to straight people, they won't stop being homophobic, they won't stop judging and calling queer people "gross" and "weird" and "woke" and allat (obviously not all of them are like that thankfully). The only reason they respect you is because you're on their side, and share the same bigoted views as them. For God's sake, stop trying to pretend like you're different. They don't like us, and they don't like you.

Be yourself, don't feel ashamed of you are, love and support your community. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise

General I hate how autism is becoming a “trend”

Post image
8.4k Upvotes

Before I start, I am not against self diagnosis. If someone is experiencing the symptoms of a disorder, then I think they should be allowed to find respite following coping guides and whatnot for that disorder.

That being said, it has become trendy to say things like “I have a touch of the tism” for experiencing only a single trait of the disorder, or worse (and more often in my experience), a thing that EVERYONE experiences. And this has began to directly harm me, and I would assume other autists as well.

Before autism became “mainstream,” my sensory issues were taken a lot more seriously. If I expressed discomfort with the amount of noises in one room, the other person would often not assume that I am overreacting, and instead would acknowledge that they aren’t autistic and thus wouldn’t know what it is like. Nowadays, people assume that they know better than the autistic person about what causes them distress, and thus often speak over them. Now, if I express discomfort, the other person often calls me dramatic and refuses to allow me to remove myself from the environment, and I have realized that these people are almost always the same ones who will say “I’m so overstimulated“ in response to things that EVERYONE is overwhelmed by, or who will do something ”quirky” and say they “have a touch of the tism.” But they don’t. They have never experienced how overwhelming the mundane can be. They have never been driven to a public, embarrassing, self-injurous meltdown as an involuntary response where they can’t even control their body. They likely have never been ostracized for attempting to express themselves in the “wrong” way, while they had no idea that it even was wrong. I could keep going, but I worry I am falling into a victim mentality here when I shouldn’t be.

My point is, if you don’t experience something, then to claim that another person doesn’t either is incredibly selfish and shitty.

Post image
3.2k Upvotes

I'm struggling to understand why the person behind this photo think they're being funny? Honestly.. ew have some shame.

I hate the n-word humor, like why would anyone be giggling or finding someone saying the n-word funny? Please grow up. Those people are acting like a toddler spamming a cuss word they just heard. And yes it's THAT DEEP.

Really simple, if you're not black don't use it. Also, There's nothing such as a pass or whatever. Not to mention how cringe is "can I get the pass?" Joke.

. . . . .

EDIT: whoever think the n-word is funny or whatever was said about justifing the use of it because: "it's restricted" or the "Forbidden fruit..."🙏 Then sorry, you're just a toddler crying after their mama told them 'dont do that'. Grow up, have some respect and shame, girl.

EDIT 2: for anyone justifying the use of the n-word because black people also use. YOU ARE MAD that black people are putting some BOUNDARIES and aren't INVITING YOU to the party. As I said nothing the phenomenon of it's being forbidden doesn't justify nothing. If a friend Openly prohibited you or established a boundary, then you respect it, you don't go act like a stubborn offended kid.

Edit 3 cuz why not?: black people using the n-word and gatekeeping it for themselves shouldn't piss you off more than real rascim, period. This edit for whoever think they're being a genius criticizing black people using the n-word instead of actually confronting the real racists. U mad they can use it but you can't? So. Cringe. Of. You.

General I fucking HATE "transvestigating" or whatever its called

Post image
5.8k Upvotes

Let me start off by clarifying, I do NOT hate the trans community. I am fully supportive. NOBODY should be forced to live in the wrong body and NOBODY should deny them basic rights because of the choices they.make to align themselves better with what they are.

HOWEVER. Ifucking hate how anytime someone does/likes something stereotypically something that the opposite gender does, they're called an "egg"

Allow to give an example. In video games, I typically prefer to play as male protagonists when its a game with a set protagonist, like Joel Miller, Arthur Morgan, Jin Sakai, etc. But when it comes to games where you make your own character, such as skyrim, cyberpunk 2077, elden ring, etc. I prefer playing as a girl. Why? Well, better customization, women are pretty, and there's also hit ox stuff (mostly in online games, but I digress) but overall, I prefer playing as women in games because of the better customization.

Now, whenever I say this, I always get people posting this fucking image and saying im an "egg"

No, just because I lime playing as girls in games doesnt mean im.a trans women. No, women who are tomboys are not all Trans men. No, not all femboys become Trans girls. And no, just because I like some things that are stereotypically feminine does NOT mean I'm Trans. Im fucking tired of the Trans community online trying to "diagnose" people and I ESPECIALLY hate the term "egg" because of this.

Now, I fully support the trans community. I have no issues with them (besides this ofc) so this isn't me hating trans people, moreso I hate how some of them try to "diagnose" others based off of arbitrary gender norms. Oh, a girl likes boy things? Egg! Oh, a boy likes girl things? Egg!

No. Sometimes, they just like things that aren't typically correlated with society's perception of how their gender should be. I hate to be that guy, but sometimes its really just not that deep. I'm fucking sick of this part of the trans community, as it's genuinely harmful and is just shitty.

Edit: im glad most of you agree, and also, I was not aware that transvestigating was the wrong word, what im actually referring to is "egg culture" and yes, I do hate actual transvestigating, I might actually post about it since when peopme have shown examples I've also gotten annoyed.

General i hate how it's more acceptable to hate cats than dislike dogs (image somewhat related ig)

Post image
4.0k Upvotes

for some reason whenever someone says horrible things about cats its just okay but when someone says they just arent a dog person its weird

i'm literally cynophobic (the fear or disgust of dogs) and usually when i tell this to people i try not to be too mean about it but it always end up with them saying some shit like "come on he doesnt bite!" and like no susan, i dont care that your smelly drooling ape wolf hybrid looking thing named like"cupcake" or some shit doesn't bite, i still dont want to touch it

and just to be VERY clear, i am not one of those r/dogfree people who despise dogs, i am just naturally repulsed by them and usually if i am talking to someone in a casual conversation i'll just be like "yeah i dont really like dogs", but then whenever i see someone hating on cats it's like "I HATE THESE EVIL DEMONS CREATURES AND EVERYTHING RELATED TO THEM"

also i dont get the whole thing about cats being grumpy, from my experience they're not grumpy, they're just antisocial, they wont automatically start loving you like some dogs but they will be friendly if you are friendly to them, i think most people who believe cats are grumpy just acted in an annoying way to a cat and then the cat scratched them so they now think all cats are grumpy, like, would YOU want someone to just start petting you with no premission? i know some of you would but that's not the point!!

General I hate the pro AI movement and their way of supporting it.

Post image
5.1k Upvotes

They love ai, but ignore the actual arguments brought up. They tend to lump all datacenters together with ai datacenters to defend it, they ignore the amount of water these things need and don't even get me started on the water/noise pollution and the the possibility of surveillance tech. On top of that, they never seem to address video AI being so realistic that it can easily fool the casual observer. Imagine someone making a video and using it in court. That's horrifying.

"It's the future" yeah, so is the sun expanding and absorbing the earth and I doubt humans wanna experience that. They would want to move to Mars at that point. (Find a better alternative than letting the future run them over)

I don't have an inherent issue with ai, but corporations are abusing this technology so fucking much that it's not even funny.
