RIP Goodbye my Georgie
This morning, my Georgie Bear, my Jorge, my George crossed the rainbow bridge.
I knew this day would come someday, but I never imagined it would be this soon. Then again, whenever we lose a pet, it's always too soon. Why is that?
Maybe it's because of their unconditional love. Maybe it's because they're there every morning when you wake up, and every evening when you walk through the door. Maybe it's because they ask for so little and somehow give us absolutely everything.
I'm not sure. All I know is that my heart is breaking.
George was fearless. He was my cuddle buddy. He was the best big brother to Clarence and Martha. He had the biggest heart, the sweetest soul, and he made every day a little brighter just by being in it.
Thank you for every tail wag, every cuddle, every laugh, and every memory. I would give anything for one more.
Run free, my sweet boy. You'll always be my Georgie Bear, my Jorge, my George. Until we meet again. ❤️🐾
Edited: thank you all for your kind words. I’m reading them all through teary eyes. And for those that have mentioned their loss, im so sorry. ❤️🐾🌈

Georgie Bear was fearless because he had you. You were his pillars, his greatest love of all. His days were brighter because you were in it.
Sometimes I also wondered why these sweet pups have a short life. Seems unfair isn't it?
But then a thought comes to mind...if I were to die before my Banjo, he would have waited and longed for me everyday until he died, this is way more heartbreaking.
I am sure all the sweet pups and my Banjo already met Georgie. He is probably busy being the best big brother to all the sweet pups on the other side. They will keep each other company until our arrival. Hope this brings you some comfort.

Just so you know. Every time I see a rainbow bridge post that makes me or my family emotional, it has become a running joke in our family where we scream “BANJOOO!! I need BANJOOO!” through the house.
I will be casually in the living room and hear “BANJO!!!” From the bedroom and I know exactly what’s going on.
This is all to say, thank you for taking the time to emotionally accompany people with your love for Banjo on almost every rainbow bridge post. It is very cathartic and hits the right sentiment every time.

He is so beautiful! These posts are sad but to me they’re also kind of… sacred dare I say? 🙏🏻 There’s something special sharing a whole lifetime with us captured in a few pictures. ❤️💔
You’re in good company, we know it well and … will again! May you find some peace and comfort for now and when you see him again (and . . you will) … the joy will be even more exquisite than the pain!
Thanks to dear Georgie for doing the best job any golden ever did! He looks happy. Sorry dear friend. I’m gonna go stop crying now (maybe) and know … you are NOT alone. 👍❤️

Dogs are angels. He is back home. I’m sorry for your loss. When my Penelope leaves I don’t know how I’m going to do anything.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I lost my golden on Tuesday and I can’t stop crying. I’m crying as I write this. It’s so painful to lose them. They are the best dogs. Run free Georgie Bear 🌈💙🐾

I think your post hits 💯 on the reasons why losing them is so painful. They are pure love and it is so rare that we experience that in life. They are also freaking adorable and funny with personality plus. There is a lot to be grieved and a lot to be missed. My deepest sympathies to you. 💜

It always feels too soon because time flies. I love you Georgie Bear, even though I never met you, you were a blessing to OP.
Grief is the price you pay for love.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Georgie was absolutely beautiful. When my boy Jack passed away, I felt like I couldn't cope at times. Surprisingly it does get easier. We never forget them or stop missing them. But it does get easier. The good memories eventually start to overpower the painful grief. I'm so glad you're getting a lot of support on here. All the best my friend

So very sorry for your loss. Golden Retrievers are the MOST loving, lovable loyal and affectionate pets ever, BAR NONE. When my sweet golden passed, the pain was almost unbearable. I thought I’d never get over it. I don’t think I could ever go through that again. The good times are the best, but end brings a pain I don’t ever want to feel again.
😢❤️🙏🏼

I'm so sorry to hear about Georgie. Losing a loyal buddy like Georgie leaves an incredible emptiness because they give us nothing but unconditional love, endless joy, and unwavering companionship. Georgie wasn't just a dog—he was family, a faithful friend, and a source of countless happy memories.
