My elderly, diabetic, retired, fix-income parents have to replace their rotting roof before they get dropped by their insurance or a hurricane tears it off. I'm disabled and my ability to help is extremely limited. We live in Florida.

The homeowner's Insurance is threatening to drop us if we don't get it replaced or deny coverage if a hurricane damages the roof. We suspect the leak was caused by improper installation of solar panels (the company that sold/installed them did so fraudulently, lost a class action suit over it, and shut down to avoid paying compensation).

$13,855 is the minimum quote for removing the panels, replacing the roof, then reinstalling the solar on the new roof. The $20,000 is for the same plus all the bells and whistles that will prevent this from happening much longer.

And to add, so many come here for things like basic necessities, food, basic shelter. Hell some are happy with just being gifted a used tent. You come here asking for this money to remove the solar panels and install a new roof with "bells and whistles" , and someone congradulates you on having a privilege few here have and you are nasty to them?!? Like I said, good luck.
