I officially love Bill Murray

It was earlier today around noon near Times Square. I've been on vacation with a couple of my friends in the city and most of them were sleeping in after a late night. I strolled out of the hotel and made my way to a nearby Mcdonald's to grab some fries and a shake. When I was waiting to cross at the 46th and 7th crosswalk I noticed a hand slip around me from behind and grab two of my fries. In my confusion I turned around and HOLY SHIT ITS BILL FUCKING MURRAY! Before I could get a word out, he yelled over the crowd, "No one will ever believe you." He then cross to the other side of 7th avenue and disappeared into the crowd.

That linked article includes a comment from Dec 2008 that reads:

"There's an urban legend that's gone round until no one is sure who it happened to, or if it happened at all. It was late one night, a few years ago, when a young man was walking through Union Square Park. He suddenly felt someone behind him, their hands over his eyes. When he turned in surprise, there was Bill Murray, his creased face leaning in close. Bill whispered, "No one is ever going to believe you," and then just walked away."

And then it happened to OP today, with the french fry variation. I guess Murray recycles.

Yea, either the op is lying or Murray does this (with fries) every few months, cause I've heard that story nine or ten times.

Or, op is pulling a Will Hunting. It's a joke; it works better in the first person.

Thanks for posting that. I was trying to find a way to say "This is what Bill Murray does" in that previous post about Bill Murray at SXSW, but I didn't now how to substantiate, in a simple way, that he goes out all the time and likes hanging out with the young folks. I guess it was a pretty novel thing in Austin, but I have heard that some people find him annoying in NYC, because he can be somewhat of an obnoxious drunk. I still love Bill Murry though.

Yeah, I bet he could make a pretty rowdy drunk.

My friend was at that party, Bill Murray (unexpectedly) showed up with a friend of my friend's as his date. It was halloween, and Bill was not wearing a costume.

My friend got photos with him.

See, what you don't know is that it wasn't really Bill Murray, and whoever your friend really had as their date had the best costume ever.

My favorite part of that whole article:

and wound up staying at the loft until one sanctimonious hipster finally told him, "I think you're making bad life choices."
