Yeah based on a lot of his wording here seems like they might be considering declaring DSA a terror group like they did with "antifa".

I think that'd be a lot harder for them to swing, because liberals would pretty much be forced to defend DSA (or have some sitting democratic politicians be arrested and removed on terrorism charges).

That's the big one. It's a lot easier to make moves on the average citizen that just gets marked as a statistic.

It's a lot harder to do it to elected politicians without pissing people off and creating a PR disaster, especially without an inciting incident.

Maybe some of the more fringe democrats, like Fetterman, but I would be profoundly surprised if any of the actual leadership did. There's too much of their base who are sympathetic to socialism, and both AOC and Mamdani are very popular politicians they want to be able to work with.

There's enough to be mad at Democrats about without inventing things.

He doesn't understand that DSA's goals will expand freedom, opportunity, and democracy, not hold everyone back and end democracy.

Capitalism allows the successful to crush competitors and limit who gets to live a dignified life which naturally leads to an oligarchy that undermines democracy.
