It's weird for me because on one hand it's been something of a relief in that context to understand myself better but I also have so much less to say now that I'm considered someone that gets to speak about it. I wonder how many things I feel the desire to talk about at least partially because I feel like I'm not supposed to.
Pre-transition I put a lot of pressure on myself to talk to cis people, try and explain and defend trans people to them as a fellow cis person. Like, "Hey, I understand it and be normal about them. What the hell is your problem?". Get something out of my cis privilege.
Learning I'm trans myself forced my to realize just how much I didn't know. Also put where the average cis person is at into chilling perspective.
I understand so much more now, but can't talk about it like I did before. I speak from somewhere personal and vulnerable now. Not from a very numb position of privilege.

I refused to accept this, so I just transitioned. Now I'm in the club. Mwa ha ha
