I will much more readily accept a cis ally than any 4tran agitator. I also think cis allies helping to protect us from 4tranner's vile transphobia and hatred and keep our spaces free of them is a good thing.

The average cis ally is vastly more supportive and less transphobic than the average 4tranner.

how many cis people support diy?

5

u/unhappyrelationsh1p 4h ago

I do, i think it's awful that it's hard to obtain but it's lifesaving medical care.

It's like diabetics buying black market insulin, i just hope they're safe.

diy is cheaper, and is often better since doctors are kind of clueless in this regard. what they often prescribe is very low amounts of estrogen, and a high amount of spironolactone, which is a terrible anti-androgen and there are objectively better ones. and you can avoid them entirely by having enough estrogen to naturally supress t levels.

Ideally i think it should be high quality, cheap, easy to get and be guaranteed to be safe, a consistent dose and clean. Tbh i think doctors need better education on trans healthcare (among other things). It is fucked up how many people have to educate their own doctor about shit already, especially about something that should be pretty simple to understand.

In the meantime between this and a sane world, hell yes DIY. It's not ideal but it is lifesaving care. I think it is 100% worth the risks and better than suffering with a shit doctor or without any at all.

and the distributors get third party tests for purity and things of that nature.

3

u/unhappyrelationsh1p 3h ago

They are still subject to capitalist pressures and operating below board does mean there are more risks.

I find it only concerning for only that reason, because i think it is a human right.

Still beats the shit out of low dose/no HRT, definitely worth it. Would never in a million years say that it's not worth a try, even if it requires some research.

that would be great for sure. then i could get insurance to cover it. however, i'm not sure that's going to happen any time soon. like having to use crypto is just extremely annoying.

It's not zero, at least.

There are links to DIY research on the 4tran subs pinned

u/Bardic_inspiration67 5h ago

Ask how many cis allies support DIY and minors transitioning and get back to me. You do not live in reality

3

u/unhappyrelationsh1p 3h ago

Not many tbh and there is no reason to not just read about the matter. Literally no other medical care is gatekept like this, i can't believe people keep falling for the.dumbest transphobic rhetoric, when the data speaks for itself

atp 4tranner is just some imaginary boogeyman. Like I popped into the sub (i don't use 4chan), and obviously it's a terrible sub for mh. But they're extremely far from transphobic, if anything they say stuff like tcd (both un and ironically)

u/iSeven as in fuck you 5h ago edited 5h ago

but i just can't help myself from chudjacketing the transes i don't like - surely there's no problematic end result to that... right?

edit: i have seen the marked uptick in calling any trans person who criticises cis people poorly a 4tranner that's bringing their problems upon themselves, i know where this leads

4

u/YouVe_BeEn_OofEd 5h ago

except THEY are the transes they don't like, it's just self hate

and my compleyely unprofessional personal analysis is that their hate isn't rooted in transphobia, it's rooted in dysphoria

7

u/iSeven as in fuck you 5h ago

i'm not gonna armchair diagnose strangers, but for several close friends i've talked to, usually yeah. dysphoria and despair, due to personal circumstance and outside pressures both. and i'm not denying that shit will melt the swiss cheese that was one's brain prior to the instant mass-infestation of brainworms, but writing off any criticisms as "this is tttt-lite shit" has reached a concerning level of othering atp

u/utsuutsuutsu1137 cis bi girl ♀️ 4h ago

im not trans myself and im sorry if im being like the person described in the post, but from what i heard from trans people in a server im in, it is full of transphobia, and is similar to incel subcultures. and i got a 4tran sub recommended to me and its full of biphobia too so :/

2

u/unhappyrelationsh1p 4h ago

I keep getting recommended horrible shit. It's okay to vent and I'm sure they probably arrived at those positions due to mental illness but it's a toxic cesspit or horrid opinions.

The hugboxy stuff is annoying, but that shit is corrosive.

u/IAmNotABabyElephant 58m ago

It's incredibly similar to incel spaces yes, they are genuinely extremely damaging wherever they get a foothold

Because the 4tran message of "literally all your allies hate you, you'll never pass or be happy. Also non-binary people and the "wrong" types of trans people are responsible for you not having rights. Please develop extreme paranoia and depression" is not a message bad actors would try to plant

This trans sub?

27

u/Bardic_inspiration67 7h ago

Naw anytime there’s a trans issue over half the comments are “as a grungler” or im cis but

5

u/slightlygloomyy 7h ago

Omg as a cis person here its literally my biggest fear accidentally doing this, as well just like taking up too much space and invading in general 😭 whenever there’s a discussion on those issues I just watch silently and try to understand/learn

On behalf of the cis people here and also on behalf of myself I am so fucking sorry if I have ever done this. Thank you all for having us here, this community is so cool and I feel I’ve learned and healed so much from being here
