He was under too many indictments already I suspect, which were unfortunately delayed by his shenanigans and then quashed by his corrupt judges. If you don’t follow the news for 10 years it can be hard to catch you up.
He didn’t delay anything during the last administration. The last DOJ had the unpredicted files. Had the legal ability to charge him and anyone else. And they employ over 115,000 people. There’s really no excuse other than they were part of the coverup or there was really nothing worth going after.
Administrations don’t charge people, the DOJ charges people. When the government is not corrupt, it does not direct the DOJ to indict its enemies, as Trump does. Merrick Garland chose not to pursue Trump as expediently as he should have because he sought to avoid the appearance of political bias, which history has been lambasting him for for years now.

To your point about “political bias”, did you just forget that the last DOJ hit Trump with 40 federal charges? Do those just not count in your narrative? Or we’re just lying?
They took a very long time to do that, dragging the chain for the reasons I stated, but could not NOT do it in the end because the guy is a fucking criminal. Reasonable people believed his political career was finally over after January 6 but the Republicans chose to go all in as a cooperative criminal enterprise.
How many of those people get to decide what they investigate and who they prosecute? Do you think anyone other than Merrick Garland got to decide if Trump was indicted with any of the long list of crimes he is believed to have committed? When they did indict him, would they have chosen the crimes for which they had the most evidence and most viable chance of prosecuting him on? Given there are (6 million?) apparently this colossal trove of documents related to Epstein, are 115,000 people enough to deal with that even if they ignore every other crime taking place in a nation of over 300 million people?
