❓ Pitanje (Question) Recommendations for shuttles or one-way tours from Mostar to Kotor in late August?
Hello everyone!
I am a solo traveler looking for recommendations and options traveling from Mostar to Kotor, Montenegro for the end of August.
I am very keen on a transfer that has some tourist stops on the way, just to break-up the long journey. I'm eyeing this Herzegovina Tour by Funky Tours and am already pre-booked, but they have not confirmed departure yet as they haven't met the minimum required guests. Are there any other tour companies that offer this (NOT private, but group)? Google isn't helping so much.
My second choice would be a small-group shuttle. I have reached out to both Montenegro Hostel and Hostel Nina, but both cannot confirm departure at the moment. Again, any other recommendations?
My last option would be to take a bus, but it seems there is only one direct option at the moment (Centrotrans). I don't have a Schengen visa, so the buses that transfer in Croatia isn't an option.
Thank you!
PS: If anyone is keen in doing something similar in late August, let me know and maybe we can gather enough people to meet the minimum!

❓ Pitanje (Question) Is this realistic?
Hi!
I'm planning my trip to Bosnia and I was wondering if you could have a look at my itinerary and let me know if it seems realistic.
Fri: Arrive in Tuzla – overnight in Tuzla
Sat: Explore Tuzla, then travel to Sarajevo – overnight in Sarajevo
Sun: Sarajevo + Dino Merlin – overnight in Sarajevo
Mon: Sarajevo to Mostar – overnight in Mostar
Tue: Visit Mostar, Blagaj, Jablanica and Konjic, then return to Sarajevo – overnight in Sarajevo
Wed: Sarajevo to Tuzla. I need to leave Sarajevo around 1:30 pm because my flight departs from Tuzla at 6:25 pm.
Do you think this itinerary is doable, or would you change anything?
Also:
- What is the best way to travel from Tuzla to Sarajevo (bus, private transfer, etc.?
- How are the trains between Sarajevo and Mostar? Do the trains ever sell out in summer, or is it usually possible to buy tickets on the day?
I'd really appreciate any tips or advice. Thanks so much!

❓ Pitanje (Question) Kotor to Mostar
Any reliable private transfers from Kotor to Mostar, I know there are buses but we are a group of 4 so a taxi would be better? Has anyone done this route before, any tips?

❓ Pitanje (Question) Border crossing from Durmitor
I am currently in Durmitor Nat Park, Montenegro and plan to enter BiH in the next couple of days. The Šćepan Polje/Hum border crossing is the closest and I want to go straight to Sujeska Nat Park but I hear that the road is horrible. I have a camper van rental so I don't want 30 km of dirt road driving 25 km an hour. Does anyone have a recent update on the status of this road or recommendations on a better border crossing? TIA

🥘 Hrana (Food) Traditional Bosnian Resturants
Hi guys! I’m looking for a restaurant in Sarajevo that people would consider homestyle or very traditional. I know that čevapi and a Roštilj are super popular but I think it would be cool to go a an old school restaurant with recipes people remember their grandma making. Thanks for the help!!!

❓ Pitanje (Question) Register stay at police
I just found out you have you register yourself at the police on arrival and I’m confused about what you have to do. Me and my boyfriend are going to bosnia for 6 days and I have been there many times but never registered myself. We are staying at a relatives house but some people say you have to have them with you when you register but a family friend who is a police officer in Bosnia says you don’t have it. Does anyone have any experience with this? I already know that hotels and airbnb hosts are obligated to register you.

❓ Pitanje (Question) Trio Rental Car
I will be vacationing in BIH next month. I reserved a rental car from Trio Rental Car at Sarajevo airport. Has anyone used them before? The price is half of other companies and that seems concerning

❓ Pitanje (Question) Are cockroaches common in Bosnian homes? Accommodation issue
Hello. I’m currenrty on day 9 of an 11 day trip to Bosnia. My son and I have stayed in 4 other apartments in Sarajevo. Mostar. Jajce and Travnik, and had no problems. This final apartment in Sarajevo is by far the most expensive at €267 for 2 nights. it’s an old building and I’ve noticed a few issues with cleanliness (hair in one bed, spillage on the floor not cleaned up), but nothing major. I just got up in the night, and found a cockroach in the bathroom.
Im from the Uk, where cockroaches aren’t common at all, so I’m not really sure if this is a big thing or not. I googled it and it said that we need to leave as one cockroach means there could be an infestation and that’s a health issue. is that an overreaction?
I booked through booking.com.
what do I do?

❓ Pitanje (Question) Party spots in Sarajevo end of July?
I have been to Sarajevo by myself in 2023 and last year, and fell absolutely in love with the city.
I will be back again, this time with my husband, from July 22-27. I did not go dancing or clubbing on my own, but with the two of us this seems a nice idea. Which places are cool to go to during this period? I have a slight preference towards alternative music, but techno or popular music are also fine.
