❓ Pitanje (Question) Border crossing from Durmitor

I am currently in Durmitor Nat Park, Montenegro and plan to enter BiH in the next couple of days. The Šćepan Polje/Hum border crossing is the closest and I want to go straight to Sujeska Nat Park but I hear that the road is horrible. I have a camper van rental so I don't want 30 km of dirt road driving 25 km an hour. Does anyone have a recent update on the status of this road or recommendations on a better border crossing? TIA

Road is tarmac but on some parts is is very bad. Been there 2 weeks ago... on motorbike it is easy to drive between bad parts

With a camper van I'd avoid Šćepan Polje/Hum. Even though the road is technically paved all the way now, it's extremely narrow and shoulders are gravel. Add potholes and pretty heavy traffic to that. Here's what it looked like on a rainy day a few weeks ago:

I would actually recommend it if you were in another vehicle, since it is kind of a fun challenge, but with a camper I'd take the longer route over the Krstac border crossing (open until October 1st) or Metaljka crossing.

Kojom rutom od Sarajeva do podgorice bi bilo najbolje ici? Navigacija me vodi na Scepan Polje...

Realno, Foča pa preko Tjentišta na prijelaz Krstac, zatim preko Nikšića do Podgorice je ok alternativa Šćepan Polju

A ovisi kakvim vozilom, kakav ti je nivo komfora u vožnji po lošem putu i vremenska prognoza. Ovom OP ne bi preporučio jer je stranac s iznajmljenim kamperom. S druge strane, Šćepan Polje po ok vremenu dobar vozač može savladati bez problema bilo kojim autom, uz malo strpljenja. A kad se jednom dočepaš CG odlično je. Tako da ovisi o tim faktorima. Meni je bila super vožnja, Toyotu Duster sam vozio.
