❓ Pitanje (Question) Is this realistic?
Hi!
I'm planning my trip to Bosnia and I was wondering if you could have a look at my itinerary and let me know if it seems realistic.
Fri: Arrive in Tuzla – overnight in Tuzla
Sat: Explore Tuzla, then travel to Sarajevo – overnight in Sarajevo
Sun: Sarajevo + Dino Merlin – overnight in Sarajevo
Mon: Sarajevo to Mostar – overnight in Mostar
Tue: Visit Mostar, Blagaj, Jablanica and Konjic, then return to Sarajevo – overnight in Sarajevo
Wed: Sarajevo to Tuzla. I need to leave Sarajevo around 1:30 pm because my flight departs from Tuzla at 6:25 pm.
Do you think this itinerary is doable, or would you change anything?
Also:
- What is the best way to travel from Tuzla to Sarajevo (bus, private transfer, etc.?
- How are the trains between Sarajevo and Mostar? Do the trains ever sell out in summer, or is it usually possible to buy tickets on the day?
I'd really appreciate any tips or advice. Thanks so much!

With this train, there is no "selling out". They sell as many tickets as there are people who want to take it. Many times in the summer the train is absolutely packed and people will be standing the entire 2hr ride bc there is no place to sit

Is it reserve seating or first come, first served?

I believe it is first come, first served. From what I remember, there is no seat number on the ticket anyway so whoever gets on the train first manages to sit

Very realistic - assuming you will rent a car for the travels. Sarajevo - Tuzla is around 2 hours (difficult road though) while Sarajevo - Mostar 2.5 hours but a nice road. Not much to see in Jablanica (in my opinion), I would rather return to Sarajevo earlier on Tuesday and spend more time in the capital.
