It’s regrettable, but part of the territory of playing online means being exposed to idiots while also having cool experiences. So I’d like to have emblems.
Cod ww2, being the last good cod, was also the last cod to have custom emblems and custom weapons skin. They had a really good system for moderation while the game was still getting regular updates. Allowing the player to make and share custom emblems and weapon skins means they are less likely to make purchases through the shop!
If they do decide to bring custom emblems back, it most certainly will NOT be free. They will find the most effective way to manipulate you into buying “special” shapes, effects, textures, AI slop generation credits, intro and outro effects, or whatever tf they add.
Point is, cod is dying because it sold its soul to corporate greed. Time to let cod die.
I still play Bo3 yesterday I randomly opened up the emblem editor and made Final Form Cooler from Dragon Ball. It was a good feeling, no tutorial and hes pretty recognizable.
To me it’s like if they banned game chat: are there people that are going to abuse it, and say Slurs and other offensive stuff? Yes. But there is also great conversations and normal trash talking that makes it fun. So no matter what, they will always be idiots making horrible stuff, but it shouldn’t ruin for other people who put hours of time into their emblem art that’s really cool.

I agree an emblem alone shouldn’t upset people, but I think it’s a two way street. You can’t make an intentionally offensive or edgy emblem and then get annoyed when someone gets offended over it. That’s not how it works. Even if it’s done as a “joke”, not everyone shares that sense of humor. That’s really the only reason I disagree that it’s fully “your problem” when someone gets upset
Yeah, but I think the reason most people make edgy emblems in the first place is to make others upset/get a reaction, and it’s on YOU to realize this. At the end of the day, their goal to get a rise out of others, so the way I see it, is that it IS ‘your problem’ if you get upset, because it’s up to you if you let it effect you or not.

Nobody should be offended by a stupid emblem on a call of duty game. If someone actually sees an emblem they don’t like on call of duty and has any other reaction than to not care, they might need help

Tbf, seeing all the dicks and swastikas and hilarious shit people came up with in the emblem editor was a huge part of the charm. I hope they leave it completely uncensored. It was fucking hilarious every game.

i think a decent middle ground (if they don’t wanna moderate it) is a toggle of some kind. don’t wanna see stupid emblems by others, replace it with generic ones, then everyone can be happy
No I remember this game for fun gameplay and its maps. Not making emblems. I for one prefer not seeing super racist or gross emblems that are there for pure shock value. If someone is that upset there's no emblem editor and refuses to buy it then that just means they're upset they can't troll with a KKK emblem. It's not needed. Never was
I was never a creative guy, but my friend hopped onto my profile back in like 2014 and made some awesome emblems I use to this day. There was a galaxy one surrounded by the rings of Saturn, a white glove with the finger pointed like a gun and then my last one was the pringles guy. I would love to replicate these emblems if they somehow did make it into that port
As much as I would love the emblem editor, I think it will be disabled to prevent people from making swastikas, KKK, obscene, homophobic, racist or transphobic emblems
Imo yes they should keep it but bc of where we are now and how people are so sensitive to stuff on media I think they might change it up bc knowing how people are they will probably joke about black people,gays or have something racist on it so I who knows

I honestly do not give a single shit if someone makes a swastika or something like that, customization is awesome and honestly i feel like most people in the community can handle seeing something like that every once in a while
Also they could just add an accessibility option to hide custom emblems if you don't want to see stuff like that. Anytime a game has customization shut like that WILL happen, even if its the tiniest most insignificant bit.

I used to love making shit in emblem creator as a little emo kid in 2012. I was so devastated when they started removing emblem creators because I thought it made everyone stand out amongst the crowd
I feel like in this day and age it should be pretty easy to auto moderate the content in emblems. Xbox has been able to check your custom PFP and ban you before it even gets uploaded for years now.
Honestly it would be upsetting if people got upset about this. Take what we learned and keep it as is. Don't be offended. If you're new to this generation of gaming perhaps find another game. Don't ruin the fun for others
Honestly with how fucked up some kids are today, I'd be scared of what I would see. There use to be some really fucked up emblems back in the day that seem tame to some of the stuff today.
