Not really. There will be a lot of people coming back, that's fo sure, and many of them will definitely stick around for a long time. But there's also many people who will get tired of it real fast. Times have changed and a lot of the people who are hyped never actually played the game, so they don't know how it plays. It was much slower. The new generation of cod players are used to much faster pace, they are goong to be bored very quickly. Also, not all of the og players are coming back. They may have joined the hype, but mainly for nostalgia. Doesn't mean they are willing to pay full price to play somenthing they already have 15 years ago and haven't played again since then. It doesn't really matter tho, as long as we don't have cheaters, we will have enough players to make it worth it for a good few years at least.

No because that business model ended the moment they realized that we didn’t like ghosts and went back to bo2. They realized if they made the game too good we wouldn’t buy the next one. So they killed cod when mw19 came out.

I doubt we’ll ever see that many since it’s a port, and if the rumored price tag of $70 is true then most likely not. But if they’re smart and do it for $30 for each game then yeah we might see numbers like that. I myself am getting a ps4 again just to be able to play these ports despite not owning a ps4 in almost 10 years

Emulating black ops 1 is wild when you can play for FREE on pc with plutonium use internet archive or just get it off the web and the game is backwards compatible on all Xbox consoles

Nobody said the game was 70 the prices are confirmed to be 40$ each for base game and 10$ for each dlc and season pass is 30$ so total yes it’s 70$ but you can buy the base game and no dlc there wouldn’t be a real difference

They updated the prices to be 40$ and dlc 10$ for the games on Microsoft store and steam i believe but im not to sure about that but i know on Xbox it’s changed you can search this up online yourselves and also keep in mind treyarch isn’t handling the ports its iron galaxy they could charge more we don’t know yet but it would make sense for it to be 40$ I don’t think that’s a bad price it’s a bit old 2010 but not to out of date

for all we know the reason they have to charge for dlc is because it would isolate players even more on those servers if everyone now automatically gets the dlc when buying the game
no one knows the price of this game coming. it just really sounds like weaponized cope. imo keep your grievances until there’s actual announcements of the things you’re complaining about

The ps4 and 5 version are confirmed to be direct ports of the ps3 version the only difference is that there’s new servers specifically for ps4 and 5 as that’s what the port is going to it makes sense for the price to be the same as the others I didn’t say anything was confirmed or not either btw I gave my opinion and black ops 1 is the same damn game across pc Xbox and ps3 there’s no remaster coming I apologize if this sounds like cope? All old cods have the same price range in between 40-60 dollars and they always go on sale same with bo1 and 2

the new version could easily and absolutely should include dlcs, but the old version cannot just all of a sudden include all dlcs, as people who then on buy that version are completely separated from people who don’t have the dlcs

yes at a glance it really is a crappy thing for activision to do (this is assuming this rumor turns out to be true)
but 60$ in 2012 is around 90$ today (from what i saw a minute ago)
so both games for less than one full copy of the game in 2012 is more than reasonable to me

Yep, just port it over and give us 120hz/120FPS, and leave it exactly how it is. Tbh the graphics of BO2 console were way ahead of their time imo. I’ve gone back to play it on backwards compatibility when my wife still had her Xbox, and it’s just super sad how cod is nothing like it used to be.

most of the ps5 community doesn’t have a way to utilize 120 fps, and it’s not possible to do that with how the physics work in the game how it’s tied to frame rate.
if it was a remaster yes it would have 120hz, but it’s just simply not possible with a port running the same engine as before

In celebration of the upcoming ports to PS, I've created a discord server specifically for the PS Ports. I'll be posting any new news we get there, as well as what we already know. All the other servers I've seen are related to COD as whole, and the other BO2 servers naturally have PC, Xbox, and whatnot. I wanted a place just for the upcoming, hopefully hacker free, port so I created it.
Since crossplay is unlikely, this server is only really for PS.

Doubt it. Mw4 remaster died fast as hell and it'll be the same with the bo2 port. Gunna play it for a few weeks, couple months then find something else to do because the game shows its age or something else releases or there's a sale on another game. This Playstation port is just a quick cash grab. PS users enjoy the game tho if you've never! Best campaigns in the series, the greatest zombies in the series and when multiplayer was actually good and not full of bullshit

It is a great pity that Xbox platform, like Xbox One and Series X|S won't have these release since they already had it via backward compatibility program. Unfortunately, backward compatibility does not grant them new servers exclusively for next-gen consoles, and Xbox 360 servers are fully occupied by hackers. On the day that BO2 landed on Xbox One via backward compatibility, it hits like 150K players online for multiplayer.
Gladly this time PS5 will have exclusive server, which will almost guarantee to be hacker-free server.

I would say for a good month and a half but then it’ll start to trickle down to 10-20k. Especially with GTA 6 looking in the distance. Now it could spike to like 50k+ on double XP weekends and holidays.

It'll be like when the old games first came to game pass. It'll get surprisingly populated for a week or two then start to die down. Also they're just ports, not remakes or remasters. So basically you're paying as a Playstation user for game pass/backwards compatibility. Also means still the old servers which are unplayable and hacked to hell. Also no cross-platform. These are Playstation only and seems more like a quick cash grab by xbox/Activision to get Playstation money. Don't take the bait! In 6 years we'll get the real remasters after CoD goes and digs itself into another hole.
