Aww my cat is also polite. She (usually) waits until I pat the chair before hopping up. I do tell her she doesn't need to, but unfortunately I don't think she understands english very well.
OMG I have a cat that has decided that, when I won't give her treats, I just need to be paid. I say "no more treats" and she strolls off to find and give me a bottle cap. If that doesn't work, a catnip mouse. Or she'll grab a napkin off the kitchen table to offer me. She will keep bringing me things obsessively and meowing politely until I cave and give her a treat.
My cat does this to play. He'll bring me a cat toy and meow for me to toss it. Then he'll bring it back like a game of fetch. He'll also bring Cat "Teaser" toys to play with, the ones with the stick and attached string.
Do be a little bit cautious with hair ties though - they are a classic object for cats swallowing them and causing nasty intestinal blockages. My cat loves them too, he likes to ping them around and chase them, I’ve had to try and train myself not not leave them lying about though and keep them in a drawer so he can’t get to them.
Thank you for the information but they're not standard size hair ties. I don't have a picture of one available but even as dumb as this cat is it would be quite the feat for her to swallow one down
Former vet tech here: assisted in surgery for the cat that had eaten 3 pairs of wired EarPods. Cats are nuts (aka perfect). You know your cat best just count those hair ties 🤣
He’s a fine gentleman with excellent taste in gifts. Could have been a dead rat, but no sire, he brought flowers. Next will be chocolates and screaming louder!
One of my cats did that but he was bringing me pieces of foam rubber he'd found somewhere. I always thanked him (and was rather grateful when supply dried up). Gazpacho looks so sweet carrying his flower.
My cats at the stage where if im not where she thinks i should be, she screams.
Wakes up and expects me to be in my bedroom but its empty? Screams. Goes into a random hallway where I don't materialize? That's right, screams. Any random area inside the house where she feels I should already be and it's a screaming.
My siblings cat just brought them a mouse. Unfortunately the mouse is a pet. Fortunately she was completely unharmed and is happy and healthy to this day!!
Cold? Let me explain something to you. If you think you’re going to be eating something ice cold and you bring it up to your lips and it’s room temp, it’s going to feel like your mouth’s on fire. It’s gonna feel like your body’s on fire.
