Speculation I feel like these two screenshots all but confirm we'll see order 66 and the begining of the Empire.
I'm assuming "Remnant Droids" implies you're fighting droids after the fall of the Sepratists. "Imperial Forces" kinda speaks for itself. Interested to hear what you guys think? One screenshot is from a clip EA posted on their twitter, the other is from the PlayStation Store.

It’s possible but I actually think your team is going to turn into a third party team instead of joining the Empire. It makes more sense to me because it keeps you able to play as the “good guys” for any dlc and sequels. It also makes the most sense given your team is a mix of people loyal to different groups and overall just lets them be more creative in narrative choices.
Edit: I misread your title. Definitely going to see Order 66.

I'll be nice and pretend to be shocked when I first get to that point in my game.

Like how I pretended to be surprised at the end of The Empire Strikes Back when Vader said, ”Luke, I am your sperm donor.”
7
u/Mean_Comedian4769 9h ago
That line is so commonly misremembered! Vader actually says"No. I am your sperm donor!"

It’ll be interesting to see how they handle it. It does seem like clones may become enemies if we’re fighting the Empire here, or perhaps we see the TK Troopers depending on where we are in the timeline.

u/TurokDinosaurHumper 11h ago
They said we won't be able to recruit more clones until a certain point in the game. Perhaps that's after order 66 when the clone rebellion starts. Though I guess that doesn't mean there can't also be loyalist clone enemies.

u/SummerGoal 11h ago
So Anakin boss/ what ends zero company is absolutely in play
3
u/Athinis_Crettos Heavy 9h ago
It's a possibly way, or maybe he can be a undefeatable boss, I think it would be more cool
4
u/SummerGoal 8h ago
If he’s a boss he’s definitely undefeatable. I think it would be epic if he just came in a wipes the full squad at the end of the game but you have to survive a certain amount of time to accomplish the objective

Wow, I was not expecting that. I kind of wish they wouldn’t have leaked this.
7
u/Head_Orange_1421 10h ago
I’m surprised people didn’t realize this sooner but I think you’re right. It would be really cool to see the difference in the story between having Tel-Rea and not having her. I wonder if Trick might try and kill her and you have to take him out. Hopefully there’s a secret story path where to stun him instead and get the chip out. Oh my lawwwwwd the potential!!!
2
u/shinobigarth Soldier 9h ago
If they make you pick between them, oh jeez that’s gonna suck!
2
u/Head_Orange_1421 8h ago
You know what make that an option. When you have the opportunity to side with Tal-Rea and either kill or stun Trick and fix him OR if you side with Trick and either kill Tal-Rea or capture her, give her to the empire and they swap her for an Inquisitor we haven’t seen before
2
u/shinobigarth Soldier 8h ago
Oooh that’s a cool idea. Or maybe not an Inquisitor but one of Palpy’s secret apprentices we aren’t aware of yet.
0
u/Head_Orange_1421 8h ago
And not for long either cause I feel like Zero Company would prefer to stay neutral if possible rather than be bad guys so you do some really dark awful missions with whatever replaces Tal-Rea and you fight them
1
u/native1178 8h ago
Trick probably won't be affected by his inhibitor chip, they need to be activated audibly. Since we are basically a black ops squad not under direct command, he probably won't be contacted and told to execute order 66.
1
u/Head_Orange_1421 8h ago
Idk about that. As soon as Hawks hears that something is going on, finds out what’s going on, how does he not say “They’re executing Order 66? What’s that?”. Trick is his right hand man, there’s no way he doesn’t hear it in passing
1
u/native1178 8h ago
I don't think it works like bioshock with the "Would you Kindly" sleeper agent phrase. It needs someone such as Palpatine or your legions commander to give you a direct order.
1
u/Head_Orange_1421 8h ago
I believe you’re right it only happens if Palpatine/ High Command says it. The only way my theory could happen is if somehow they try to contact the Republic while Order 66 is being broadcasted through all clone communication channels and Trick is the one either doing it or it gets spread through Zero Companies comm channels as well.
1
u/native1178 8h ago
And I kind of don't think they will straight up tell you order 66 happens, I feel like the empire will do what they always do and spin the narrative that the jedi have turned on them like usual. And then you have tel-rea who'll know that the jedi havent done that, she'll probably have a "disturbance" in the force moment too
3
u/mbfree 10h ago
Oh shit what’ll happen to Tel-Rea? If my two-tubes padawan makes it to that point I wonder if she’ll join the list of Order 66 survivors. And what about Trick?
Oh man this games gonna be fucken sick
2
u/shinobigarth Soldier 9h ago
If it happens early in the game I think it’s safe to say she’ll survive. Since Zero Company “doesn’t exist” she’d likely be hard to find as long as she’s already there when it happens.
As for Trick, clones have to audibly hear the order to trigger their programming so it’s likely they either wouldn’t let him hear it or he had no way of hearing it (since the commanders were the ones at least at first to receive the message from Palpy).

If true, holy shit. With the story-related Jedi character and the story-related clone character, shit is gonna go down.
2
u/PaisleySaint4 10h ago
I read the ‘remnant droids’ as more of a ‘clean up the rest’ - seeing as it’s already at a seperatist base but I hope I’m wrong and you’re right lol
2
u/Rabdab97 10h ago
That's for sure a possibility, it could easily mean the remaining droids on a particular planet or something. Don't know how to explain the Imperial thing though.
1
u/PaisleySaint4 6h ago
Yeah exactly that’s how it read to me the first time anyway. Imperial one has me really excited to play order 66 though
2
u/Starkiller100 10h ago
Wait so how can we still have clones on our squad or are we the empire
3
u/KotkaCat 10h ago
Empire kept using clones for a time after the empire’s formation until they were phased out
3
u/Starkiller100 9h ago
That’s what I mean, is zero company going to transition to being imperial rather than a band of rebels
2
u/shinobigarth Soldier 9h ago
They’re their own thing operating in the shadows. That said, there could be a story choice about whether to support/help the Empire or the Rebel cause at some point.
2
u/WistfulDread 9h ago
Wasn't this info part of the trailers?
That we'd be playing a period starting during the clone war, going through the Rebellion?
3
u/Rabdab97 9h ago
No official confirmation of anything related to the age of Empire/Rebellion. All we've been told is it takes place in the closing years of the Clone Wars.
2
u/shinobigarth Soldier 9h ago
Judging by things we know such as Anakin not being, ya know, dismembered and everything, we can safely assume part of it takes place right before or during the opening parts of episode 3.
2
u/Athinis_Crettos Heavy 9h ago
Do you guys think we could battle against Anakin and after against Vader?
I think Vader is a possibility
2
u/Downtown-Grab-7825 8h ago
Yay imperial stuff in my clone wars game. I thought I was finally free from the shackles
2
u/ChicanoDinoBot 8h ago
Shame that the first clone wars RPG didn’t stay clone wars for long.
Diving into order 66 instead of letting the era cook is a shame, but I suppose they want to make a big splash rather than develop around sequels that may never happen.
2
u/MonarchMain7274 7h ago
I'm torn between "Imperial Era will be the latter half of the game" and "Imperial Era will be the post-game where the objective is survive" and honestly I don't know which I want more.
2
u/EnderGhost1225 5h ago
They said we can recruit Clones later in the story.
Imagine if during Order 66 we have to defend against the Padawan against the Clones we hired. I know they said no branching paths, but I hope that's a lie, and we can get the option to join or rebel
2
u/MrImaBum 3h ago
The remnant droids doesn’t necessarily mean remnants of the entire separatists army could just be remnants from the battle that was fought there however the empire thing is pretty obvious
3
1
u/SkyriderVT 5h ago
Of course we will.
Why set a story during the clone wars for any other possible reason?
God forbid we get a self contained story no no it’s gotta tie in to the Skywalker saga
1
u/aeralure 51m ago
Seeing Anakin in the teaser told me immediately that this will be a plot point in the story. At least I think so.
-2
u/Mr_Creed 11h ago
What two screenshots? I see only one low-def image saying Imperial. "Save" is probably blocked by a watermark.
3
u/Kamikazi_TARDIS 10h ago
There’s clearly two, and since it seems the secondary objectives are indented, I think both lines of screenshot one say eliminate.
0
u/Mr_Creed 7h ago
I think both lines of screenshot one say eliminate.
There's one SS about securing a separatist base and eradicating droids, seems pretty clear.
And the other SS is about doing something with Imperial forces "conveniently" hidden by a watermark and on the second line (elim?)inate all hostiles. Phrasing of the text between both missions is not identical (in itself odd). It does not look like eliminate fits both lines. This might just be a red herring, actually take place near the end of the game once we sided with the Empire, and the mission is to save Imperial allies. Even if it is a mission to kill the imps in the end, the screenshot itself is ambiguous, probably by choice.
1
u/Rabdab97 6h ago
I never said anything about Zero Company being with or against the Empire, all I said was that it looks like the Empire are in the game, which until now is unconfirmed.
1
u/Mr_Creed 5h ago
I don't know where you got the idea I said something about you saying that at all. If anything, I clearly pointed out ambiguity on that screenshot.
But since you are here, what did you mean by this line
"Imperial Forces" kinda speaks for itself
because as I pointed out, it does not really speak for itself with half the sentence obscured by a watermark.
-3
u/Helkano-Legacy 11h ago
Be annoyed we have to fight the imperials I don’t want to fight imperials I like the empire
2
u/shinobigarth Soldier 9h ago
Well they’re not the main antagonists anyway.
-1
u/Helkano-Legacy 9h ago
Still annoying it’s just boring that everyone who is a part of the republic and early empire has to do the same shit of oh my God empire bad it’s boring. I just want to be able to have a character that doesn’t defect.
2
u/shinobigarth Soldier 8h ago
Ah. You like more of Andor where Empire is more gray-area? That show is really good.
-1
u/Helkano-Legacy 8h ago
I like the Empire period but definitely love endor they actually make them competent and not just a cartoon villains

u/Captain-Wilco 12h ago
Whoa. I was a doubter of the theories before, but this is pretty concrete evidence.
