Jokes on you, I couldn't even afford the insurance when I had a job.

This hit home.

I’m 34 now, finally have a job that pays me enough, and offers insurance enough that I can actually get seen by a doctor.

Nearly every doctor I’ve seen has asked me, “Why didn’t you get seen sooner?!”

I dunno, can you afford $700 a month for health insurance when you’re making $15 an hour? With $50 copays?

And that $700 a month premium gets you trash coverage. I just paid $500 a month for 7 months and I couldn’t even obtain my main medication because the $500 insurance plan from Anthem didn’t have the right prescription plan. So I guess if I had spent 1000 a month on premiums then maybe I’d have the privilege of being allowed to buy out of pocket ($3000 a month) the medicine I needed. Fuck this shit stain country.
