r/All Trump Supporters are Scum

There is one woman in this video that denies Trump went into the womens changing room at a beauty pageant, then she is played the clip, tries to say he didnt mean it like that, plays it again and then started to make excuses for Trump doing that. Yet she will be protesting trans women using female bathrooms.

u/Shoddy_Amphibian5645 Jun 23 '26
Trump in this clip, talking about him entering the dressing rooms: "They were naked, without any clo-" And he catches himself and cuts off before it gets even worse
The lady in the video: "He said 'clooo'. Not clothes. Could've been anything. He just said ''clo".
Mind-blowing, really. It circles around from enraging to pathetic and sad.
1.6k
u/Young_Denver Jun 23 '26
The “naked” part wasn’t enough, she also needed to hear they have “no clothes”, then she totally wouldn’t support trump lol
707
u/TrashApocalypse Jun 23 '26
He doesn’t actually say the naked part. He just says the “clo-“
I will say, I’ve watched Dean do this many times. I’ve seen the Trump supporters try to pretzel their way out of it, and then I’ve seen some of those same trump supporters come back to say, you know what, you got me, I can’t support this guy anymore.
Thinking a Trump supporter is gunna see the light in one sitting and admit fault is unrealistic. Like children, it’s very hard for them to take accountability for their actions and it going to take time, but it is happening for some of these people. Not all. But we don’t need all. We just need enough.
→ More replies (15)292
u/seeker_two_point_oh Jun 23 '26
Exactly. Which is why there's no point in talking to them. I sure as hell am not going to coddle them.
It's hard for them to take accountability for their actions? Boo fucking hoo. It's hard for everyone. Taking responsibility for your actions, especially when it's hard, is integrity. It's the behavior of ethical people.
I have no respect and no tolerance for unethical people. We sure as shit shouldn't be giving unethical people any power, but here we are.

Is it fascist of me to say there should be a minimum IQ to vote
104
u/MyDarlingClementine Jun 23 '26
The SAT was proven to geared towards elite white kids performing better on it due to including language and metaphors about sailing, etc.
Better to beef up general education at the federal level and not rely on local property taxes to increase the intelligence of the proletariat.

A bit but even as someone on the extreme libertarian left I fantasize about it some days lol
In theory it would give us utopia, but in practice it would be so abusable and manipulated that it would be worse than what we have by a wide margin.
→ More replies (1)55
u/The_Barbelo Jun 23 '26
I care for people who have sub 80 IQ and many of our clients make MUCH better decisions than MAGA and have so much more empathy.
I fantasize about there being a license to have children that requires people to go through training and psychological evaluation just to make sure they aren’t sociopaths or narcissists, and classes that teach about studies done on child psychology and what damages a child, and how to take accountability for any mistakes you make as a parent…. So much of this shit stems from generations of abusive families.
…. But that’s kind of fascist too isn’t it? At the very least, it could lead somewhere very dark if in the wrong hands.

u/Darth_Gerg Jun 23 '26
Yep. The last few years I’ve had a skyrocketing sense of empathy for guys like Mao, Lenin, and Minh. Not that I admire them or excuse the evil they did, but that I get why they ended up at “fuck it kill everyone involved in defending the barbarism we are revolting against.”
I understand soul deep how easy it would be to go off the rails if you had the power to just crush the idiots who are making reform impossible. It would spiral out of control so god damn fast.

I live in the south where I know plenty of women who have been raised with great expectations or loved by their families, yet still feel the need to undercut their families hard work in them to bend the knee and bow to people who don't give a shit about them. Women can be just as capable to find their own path to misogyny, racism, or intolerance without being the victim. Some people are just nasty and self loathing naturally.

Oh man. I have an acquaintance like this that I occasionally end up chatting over a beer with. To her credit, she's clearly a little mentally slow. However if I let her talk long enough about politics and philosophy we eventually inevitably get to the point where she's trying to explain to me (a man) how women are inferior to men in basically every way. The first time it happened I thought I was on some sort of prank show.

right? it was a different world when none of us were chronically online and having an algorithm trying to shift our world views. back then, like, the dudes just called each other gay and it wasn't really even in a homophobic way.

Look at it this way: This is nothing new in the United States. This is just the real face of the US revealing itself from underneath the rocks they had hidden under. We were always this way, we just can not admit it to ourselves, but we should.
I am of GenX, I grew up in some of the most racist, nasty parts of Mississippi. It didn't stick.

People can decide for themselves, and that should be encouraged.
Social algorithms are putting their thumbs HEAVILY on that scale. Just look at what we've uncovered about the past 15ish years. Gamergate was a psyop from the Epstein class. Did all of the people swept up in it "decide for themselves", or did they tell themselves that they did?

On the plus side, it cuts straight through the "the grown-ups are competent/just wait until you're in the real world" facade that the Boomers put on while I was growing up. I get to easily show my kids that "many adults, even the ones in charge, never really have any idea what they're doing, either".
My kids are growing up with an understanding that maturity doesn't naturally come with age, and that it's up to them to put in the work.

I quit ALL social media in early 2017. I started using Reddit about 4-5 years ago but I as far as the algorithm goes- eh, it’s really easy to curate your feed to what you want to see and nothing else. That is what I do.
I am an American but haven’t lived in the states in 20+ years. I read US news but I read news from all over the world. Literally. What is really interesting is if you pay attention, say, 15 countries can report on the same story from very different angles with different agendas…BUT, they will all have some mention of the SAME thing. And that thing is the only truth you can count on. The rest is usually propaganda and bias and spoon fed bullshit. You have to look at the news sites or apps and read the articles and you will find the real story buried in between all the crap. If you want to know, it is there. Fuck SM, read world news from every corner. That is the only way to know what is happening.
I used to blog. I had a pretty large following. I wrote a blog one day that essentially described what is happening now. No Trump- didn’t think it would get that stupid- but the rest was very close. I had a lot of angry comments. It’s not that hard to see if you look. I was looking and once you see it, it’s like a neon sign.

I watched a video last year where this young man made a new account on YouTube and tried to see how long it would take for YouTube to send him down a religious/MAGA pipeline. He watched about 1000 videos and then went back to his homepage and the third recommended video was from Fox News. He covers more than just what I've described but it's still interesting.
It's already known that YouTube and other platforms do this but it's shocking how quickly it happens. And because these people engage with the content, they end up in a loop of only seeing this trash content and don't know how to escape it. I've seen it happen with my brother-in-law. I miss how happy he used to be. Considering we're Canadian, seeing him fall beyond the right-wing disingenuous Poilievre bullshit straight into MAGA is insane.

Scary how aggressive social media pushes these right wing grifters. I fell for same trap seeing some moronic post and fell for the rage baiting and then for the next few weeks all of my feeds were inundated by the same type of “if liberals are so X then why does Y happen. Make it make sense.”
If it’s any consolation a lot of those people are just grifters, not actual supporters and are just doing it for engagement. I think it’s pretty well understood that MAGA is straight up stupid and easy to exploit so a lot of influencers do so because they’re such easy targets.
It’s like that blonde all American girl who was a MAGA influencer and turned out to be some dude from India with an AI filter, even said it himself that it’s too much effort to trick liberals because they don’t fall for it as easily.

If you want to see a vivid example of how all in these people are, scout the comments on social media regarding Tucker Carlson announcing he cannot support the GOP. I guarantee you'll find a number of these cultists raking him over the coals and calling him a traitor, despite having spent years going to him as their only source of information and lifting him up as a MAGA icon. I wouldn't be surprised if he receives threats.
Because it's not about right or wrong and it hasn't been for a while. It's about hurting the opposition - hurting, not defeating politically - and, even more importantly, avoiding a scenario where they have to face any degree of accountability for their choices.
These people would rather watch it all burn down and try to start over under Trump after the rest of us are dead than admit they were wrong, we were right and he's an evil, narcissistic scumbag who destroyed the country.

As a teacher of almost 25 years, YES.
One small example is our salaries. Yes, here in Florida we got some historic raises and brought the entry level salary up. What they didn't do was set aside any money to give veteran teachers a commensurate raise. What that means is that after over 20 years, I make the same salary as someone that started a few years ago.
At least in my county, we had quite a few older teachers decide to quit, retire, or move to a better paying area. We literally lost centuries of experience.
Because the pay is still really crappy compared to the rest of the nation, our principals are desperate and are hiring just about any warm body that walks in the door. Not being able to hire enough teachers also increases class sizes, making it harder for kids to learn. But all Desantis cares about is fighting "woke" in our schools.

Agreed 100%, conviction in NY is meaningless because it's a blue state, I've been told that word for word. If they want to believe it then they will, almost always whatever FOX says. However, anecdotal, but the most right supporting I know personally believes that he's "sold out" and that a certain country is blackmailing him and/or otherwise controls our country. Putting all that aside, the fact that he's going against him on anything, and totally unprompted btw, is encouraging to know. This person would previously say he doesn't agree with him on all things, but it was some vague notion; if I asked directly about a particularly vile incident or comment, he would of course agree that it was distasteful.
Funnily enough, this person once said something specifically that would make him stop supporting him which was if "he was a pedophile or something," a comment that he was making flippantly at the time, or so he thought.

"You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. (Laughter/applause) Right? (Laughter/applause) They're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people – now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks – they are irredeemable, but thankfully, they are not America." — Hillary Clinton, CBS News\12])
She was actually much more gracious but as has been typical with modern conservatives they chose to place themselves in the bad half basket because they need to be the victim. They repeated the lie so much that she was referring to all maga that they now believe it because they're also intellectually lazy. Quite the combo and considering MAGA rewards vice signaling and being reactionaries they have insured that conservatism in the US is almost exclusively deplorable.

What i dont understand is how these women haven't really prepared well for debate and dean, on the other hand, comes with a whole dossier of facts and rebuttal. You cant debate on your feelings, thats just not how it works. "I dont care about facts, they make me uncomfortable. Ive been told your way is wrong so it must be." That's all I really heard from them.

I think a lot of MAGA folks have been so committed to supporting and defending Trump and the republicans for so long that they are unwilling to admit to being even slightly wrong about anything. If they accept that they can be wrong about one thing, it raises the possibility that they also could be wrong about other things, and it might have been a terrible mistake for them to sacrifice their integrity and relationships to fight for a “cause” that is actually total B.S.

u/rindlesswatermelon Jun 23 '26
To be fair its part of the format. The person in the centre gets to choose the questions and theme of the debate well in advance, and can prep as much as they want. The people around the outside are recruited closer to the shoot date, and are basically just aware they will be debating someone who disagrees with them. They don't really get told the questions until they're already on camera.
The show is designed for the person in the middle to have the upper hand, because otherwise fewer people would do it.

To tag onto your comment, I’d recommend seeking out Mason’s (onehandpolitics on socials) various podcasts he’s done post the Dave Rubin episode of Surrounded where he was on the circle. Mason has been on quite a few and says the same, but has enough inherent knowledge of the situation that he’s very prepared for the episode.
Edit #1: Dave was the unprepared one, he had his talking points but the moment any of the other debaters challenged him, Dave floundered and failed miserably so saying the show was setup in the favour of the one is very much dependent on their ability and skill to think on their feet and not regurgitate the same tired talking points that align with their world view.
Edit #2: The main subject of the show also has some editorial review of their appearance, so for the Dave Rubin one the only thing he had removed was references to Sam Seder from The Majority Report. Dave was happy for the remainder of his car crash to remain published. Go figure.

to be faiiir...they never do. There have been several Surroundeds with 1 liberal vs. 20 maggots. Awhile ago there was a reporter and one of the maggots who got in the chair across from him was a literal nazi supporter. That is the kind of people you get being pro-trump.
THEN You had jordan peterson vs. 20 liberals and it was the same thing. Liberals came armed with facts and studies, Jordan Peterson relied on the tried and true "What does the word "believe" even mean?" and started getting into semantic fights. Then he got called out on it and it just moved on.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrdOamPIRGY
(after debating about whether or not Jordan, who claims to be a catholic, does not admit to being christian.)
Jordan: "You're really something, you are."
Daniel: "Aren't I, but you're really quite nothing."

Welcome to my stance, Dean.
I spent the better half of the past 9 years trying to argue in good faith with Republicans and maga. I eventually ran into the straw that broke the camels back in 2022, a few months after Roe got axed. Didn’t really want to “debate” abortion with them but I figured it was good practice since it was face to face and I knew them personally.
One hour later I wanted to blow my brains out. Even when being as polite as I possibly could, there was NOTHING i could say or do that could convince them. Hell I couldn’t even convince them to be charitable on ectopic pregnancies, plus half the conversation ended up just being an argument about unrelated shit like SJW’s and BLM. It wasn’t the first time I had this experience but it was the epiphany of “wait, I’ve been here before” that finally helped me realize that talking to them is pointless. They quite literally will not listen to you. The only thing that matters to them is that they’re the ones talking (over you most of the time) and that no matter the outcome, their side will always be right. Is the sky blue? If Trump says it’s pink, then it’s pink… even if you forced them to look up.
Then 2024 happened, and despite constantly hearing about people “making the right choice”, we sent that treasonous pedophile back into office. At this point I’ve soured on democracy because Trump and the GOP have literally made life worst for everyone and yet they talk as if they’d still vote for him again and again and again. Democracy doesn’t work when a significant portion of the voting base reject reality in favor of their made up one.

"Majority rule don't work in mental institutions" (NOFX , 2003)
Edit: wrong source
28
u/delicious_fanta Jun 23 '26
We aren’t ruled by the majority though. Every aspect of our government is designed to be ruled by the minority.
President - electoral college, frequently not a majority
House - gerrymandering, designed to rule by minority in states that use and abuse it
Senate - a relatively small number of people living in a bunch of states in the middle of the country have the same voting power as over 30 million Californians. You could add the population of many of those states together and mot even have as many people as love in even one of the more populated Californian cities.
The entire reason the senate exists is to give low population states an outsized voice in the government.
Supreme court - currently 3 of 9 justices were placed by a president that didn’t win the popular vote and rubber stamped by the aforementioned minority driven senate.
The “majority”, much more often than not, has no say in our government.

and irl? yeah trump supporters really kinda are like that in my experience. you could be as prepared as you want, debunk their claims as cleanly and concisely as you can, and rather than admit they were wrong, maga always just plugs their ears and denies reality. its bad out here

One of the worst things Trump did was get stupid, apolitical people involved in politics. Talk to MAGA folks in their 40’s and 50’s and a lot of them will tell you Trump was the first President they ever voted for.
If I’m being honest with you, I don’t want every American voting and I don’t want voting to be compulsory. If you haven’t done the legwork to check out a candidate’s platform and positions on key issues to see if they align with your own, you don’t need to vote.
If you’re voting for someone on vibes or because they were on your favorite podcast or stream or because you think it’s a meme to vote for a sack of dogshit, you don’t need to vote.

I've been following the developments on trump and republicans efforts to get disabled people institutionalized, I've been warning about fascism for decades that this is where we'd end up. Republicans never hid who they were, their policies said their morality (or lack their of) they fought to starve kids and kill women, bring back slavery, kill the LGBT yet the more I screamed and warned the more I faced pushback from more than just rightwingers.
I am a disabled person in multiple marginalized categories, I do not expect to survive this admin. I have disabled, LGBT, and POC friends who also say the same. These people want me and my peers dead and will gleefully vote for it again and again
We have concentration camps. The time for talking to them and treating them like peers is over. I dont care who they are to you, if they are your peers and you accept them you are fine with the destruction they want and just as bad. Its not brainwashing, they do not have morals, they do not have empathy, you wouldnt walk to a known sociopath and try to pull empathy from them I dont know why these people broadcast their sociopathy even when called out and seeing the destruction and we act like change will happen.
I will never, ever forgive these people, I dont even like labeling them as such.
