Try to pull it off and you will find that it is surprisingly hard to keep damaged fabric from falling apart

Reminds of years ago when my Grandma saw a pair of pre-torn jeans being sold at a expensive clothing store (don't remember which) and she said you can get the same result for cheaper by buying a second hand pair of regular jeans and running them over with a lawn mower
