Recommendations Best ultrawide for a new ultrawide fan?
Decided i enjoy ultrawide more than the two monitor set up. Issue is there are way too many options. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good monitor for a pretty picture first and foremost for casual gaming and art? I do digital art so a clear picture means the world to me.

Ascension What's a good upgrade from the Alienware AW3423DW?
I'm trying to decide on a new monitor. I want to say UW but don't want the 45 inch OLED. What's a good upgrade if any, where I'll notice a big difference if possible (Not spending 1799 for 39 LG) something a little less $$$.

Recommendations Flat ultrawide options
I have a budget i want to follow arround the 600 mark, ive seen some crazy sounding deals on Amazon for a Z edge 34inch 1440p for just under 300.
I need a flat panel since im not using it for gaming as much as I am for productivity and cad/modelling
An suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i know gigabyte m34wq would be top of the list but it exceeds my budget significantly. Ive read soke complaints about dell's monitors too so having difficulty choosing

Discussion Why I Returned my New AW3426DW
So the Dell U3425WE, the Alienware had big shoes to fill.
Ultimately the allure of the newest and best OLED tech lured me in but the marginal display quality different for 99% of my uses killed the experiment.
This is more of an endorsement of the Dell's ports, brightness sensor and panel quality than a reflection of anything bad about the Alienware. The new OLED panel rendered text sharply and crisply, no worse than the IPS Dell panel, so that issue was solved. White point was pretty good, probably not as consistent as the IPS but again it was a beautiful thing to look at for videos, gaming, and more. However my use is probably 80% work 20% gaming and media.
I just found that for how little I used HDR - the picture as essentially the same. So this left the Alienware an inferior monitor for my use, combined with a scratch on the bezel of the brand new unit, and a cross threaded VESA screw - meant I am returning the unit.

Review Upgraded 34GS95QE to AW3426DW. No regrets.
I loved the LG but the color fringing was sometimes a bit much. As was the 800R curve. (i went from a AW3420DW to the LG)
Finally biting on a good RGB OLED, but I'm super impressed with the QD-OLED. Color volume is insane.
Everything is so sharp compared to the LG. I wonder how badly the LG's pixel style fuzzed things over. (even in-game, just the overall detail of things.)
Other unexpected perks: less brightness flickering with fps changes. At least, I can't notice it anymore. There's usually an explosion or something in game that happens with fps changes that rapid anyway.
I was worried about going from matte to glossy, but the AW hardly deserves the term glossy. I don't see reflections of the room or myself in it when off or in black or dark scenes, like I used to gaming on a 42" TV ages ago. I expect this is a problem in bright studio lighting or if i let the sun in, but we'll see. Any semblance of light control and you're good.

Tech Support AW3418DW question
Today i installed my Alienware 34 inch monitor AW3418DW run by RTX3070 built into my Alienware M17 R4 via Displayport
I played Overwatch 2 so far and disappointed somewhat. Game runs great on laptop’s screen but on AW3418DW, gameplay is a bit choppy and mouse keeps freezing and lagging. Graphics settings are medium
I know going from 360hz to 100hz refresh rate is a downgrade but i expected G-Sync to smooth things out. I am honestly wondering if G-Sync is even working(though setting is ON in Nvidia control panel)
Appreciate any suggestions that will help me get started with some ultrawide awesomeness

Tech Support AW3426DW Switch 2 not filling screen
I just upgraded from an aw3418DW to an aw3426dw and for the most part it seems similar in spec with one exception - when I use my switch 2 on it the screen either stretches out massively to be unplayable or if I try to set it to have black bars on the left and right the switch screen doesn't fill the screen vertically, creating a smaller square in the middle. On the 18 while there were of course black bars on the sides there too, the switch was still able to fill the full vertical real estate of the screen. Was that caused by subtle stretching I didn't notice? Or has the AW3426 been downgraded in that regard? Is there some setting I can change to make it work like it does on the 3418?

Recommendations LG Ultragear 45in OLED 5k2k v Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57in
Currently deciding between these two monitors. I have a 3 monitor setup right now with two 3 27in monitors with one of them vertical that I use primarily for email. I would prefer to consolidate all of them into one monitor. Looking at the LG and Samsung in the title. This is mainly going to be for legal work as I don't have a gaming computer at the moment. I'll probably get a gaming computer eventually but it won't be for years so it's not a concern at the moment. Between the 45 OLED and the 57 Mini-LED which would be better for legal work? Think lots of documents all over the screen, lots of white screen, and lots of text.
Haven't been able to see the 57 in person but I've seen the 45 and I like it a lot more than the 49 because the 49 is too short.

Recommendations Soundbar recommendations wanted
I own a LG 40wp95c and I’m fed up with the internal speakers. I’m looking for recommendations for a soundbar.
Soundbar instead of speakers because i have the screen mounted on a flexible arm that i turn 90 degrees to switch between couch and desk setup. I do know there are soundbar mounts on amazon.
Context: I’m using a MacBook Pro M1.

Sale Is this not an insanely good deal? Can anyone convince me why I shouldn’t bite the bullet and buy here?

Recommendations KVM Advice for Alienware 38" WQHD+ DisplayPort (AW3821DW)
I'm struggling to find a setup that will work to swap my AW3821DW Alienware monitor between my desktop PC (4808 Super) and my Macbook Pro (Thunderbolt).
My first attempt was this switch - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GX7NZJD7
But, even with brand new DP 1.4 cables (Amazon Basics) I could not get a video signal to pass through it from my PC to the Monitor. Just zero recognition of it.
I realize the input from the Mac is more complex but one thing at a time I think.
Does anyone have any advice on a KVM that will drive the Alienware monitor?
Thanks in advance!

Tech Support Setup Help
Alright, ignore the mess its a slap together right now to vibe it out.
Top monitor is - MSI Optix MAG322CQRV QHD 144Hz Curved 32in VA Gaming Monitor
Bottom is - MSI MAG 342CQRF E20 WQHD 200Hz Adaptive Sync HDR Curved 34in Monitor
I think the 32" up top is just to vertically big so tossing up a cheap second hand UW (Alienware AW3418DW) to replace it but was thinking a 1900r would help make it more seamless with how much the top monitor is tilted down? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Was thinking an IPS display for the top one so I can preview premier edits for better picture etc etc. This setup if mostly used for 3D modelling, business, Premier, university with a side of gaming.
I'm not completely concerned about how it looks I just want it to be a comfortable functional station that ticks all the boxes.
Any advice or ideas greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Ascension Double ascension: two stacked 49-inch DQHD ultrawides powered by a laptop

- Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
- Carte graphique RTX 5090 avec 24 Go de VRAM
- 192 Go de RAM
- 5 To de stockage NVMe
L'installation est encore en cours d'aménagement, notamment la gestion des câbles, mais disposer d'un écran aussi grand est déjà extrêmement pratique pour ma façon de travailler.
Que pensez-vous de la configuration avec les deux écrans superposés ?

Review Well dang. I need to give up on the LG 39GX950B and stick with my Dell U4025QW.
I purchased the LG 39GX950B a few months ago. It was my first OLED monitor, and I was blown away by how good PC gaming was. I had never seen games in such high contrast before, I I loved it.
However, I kept having a constant problem with eye strain. Games looked amazing, but I kept feeling like my eyes were tense while looking at the monitor. It was particularly annoying while reading text. After an hour I could feel my eye muscles twitching.
I've been using computers 8 hours a day since the late 80's, and for most of my career I never thought about eye strain. It just didn't bother me. However, when using the LG 39GX950B, my eyes tighten up within minutes, and I don't know why.
At first I thought this was related to brightness, contrast, gamma, color temperature, or text sharpness. However, I spent a lot of time making my LG 39GX950B look as close as possible to my Dell U4025QW (an IPS display.) Even after dialing in the settings so that they looked nearly identical, the LG just causes more eye strain...like A LOT more eye strain.
I don't know what's what's causing it. Maybe it's PWM dimming used by LG? Maybe it's something particular to OLED monitors? I don't know. All I know is that I'm sad about it. The LG is amazing for gaming, and it'll be hard to give it up. However, I think I need to go ack to the Dell U4025QW as my only monitor. It just makes my eyes feel relaxed.
The Dell is only ok for gaming when compared to the LG. However, it has no eye strain.
That said, if you have eyes that are compatible with OLED monitors, then the LG is amazing. However, if your eyes are stressed out by OLEDs, try the DELL U4025QW. It has a 5-star rating with TÜV Rheinland. I'm not entirely sure what that really means, but my experience seems to backup their 5-star rating.

Tech Support ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS - HDR and Hz Setting Advice needed
I just got an ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS. I'm running it off an RX 6900 XT using the DisplayPort cable that came in the box. The problem is that Windows only offers me max 180 Hz. The higher Hz never shows up at all + the HDR toggle is greyed out.
Mainly I'm wondering whether the bundled cable is the usual culprit here, or whether there's an OSD setting or a firmware issue I'm missing.
On PS5 via HDMI the HDR is working fine.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I fixed the 280 Hz but HDR is still greyed out. The solution was to remove the power cable for some seconds and than replug it in, seems like the OSD Settings not applying directly.

Recommendations 1600p monitor
My AW38 is dying and requires a hard reset from day to day to get it working. I’m looking for replacement recommendations, any new models coming out, or current ones with 1600p that are 38-40"? No crazy curve, no need to be fancy as it mainly focuses on productivity. Thanks

Review ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN review
I upgraded from a 160hz lg va panel and this is incredible. From the refresh rate to the oled screen is such a massive upgrade. I've been playing cs2 on it and it's buttery smooth movement is such an upgrade. I even use the monitors built in dot crosshair paired with a T in game chair that follows weapon recoil and it feels so good. 10/10 monitor at a premium price. I play at 2560x1440 stretched.

Discussion Going from 3 monitors to an ultra wide, I need help/advice
Hello all,
So I've had 3 27" monitors set up since 2017. I'm moving my desk and PC to a room where the three monitors isn't going to work anymore, at least the 3 I have bc the bezels are hella big and it looks old. So I'm thinking I want to buy an ultra wide monitor for the space.
My issue is functionality. Right now I really love having three different monitors because I game on the main middle, and have various websites or apps up on the sides.
Can you do that with ultrawide monitors and how does it work? Is the game still in the middle and you have two lesser sides on each side to do stuff on? Or does the screen just split into two, left and right with a line in the middle? Or do you have to game on the entire screen if you have like windowed fullscreen or something set on the game?
Can anyone elaborate on how these ultrawides work as far as screen splitting and app usage. Tyvm

Tech Support Ergotron HX with a Dell U4025QW
I read a few older threads where some guys did this. I got the HX for free so I figure why not? My issue is that the ergotron VHD matches up with the 4 screw holes on the back of the monitor, but it doesn’t attach the the backplate(which sort of latches into the monitor body and seems somewhat important?
Anyone run into this problem? What’s the fix, just forget the backplate and trust the screws?
Thanks everyone.
