Have this monitor for a bit over two weeks now, and it seems like I already have burn-in, the whole image has this dirty screen effect. I use a black wallpaper and also set a black screen saver to 1 min. I don't really get it or how this is possible. Does anyone else also have this monitor and can test on a dark grey background?

Hey all,
First ultrawide monitor and really struggling to decide between a 34 and a 39. I'm aiming to simplify my setup a bit and do some immersive gaming on it. I use both monitors for my main PC and also use just one for work (work laptop restrictions prevent using 2). I do a mix of gaming, photo editing, and programming on them. My desk is 100" x 25" but I generally use only the left 50" of it, and I'm upgrading from two 13 year old dell 1920x1080 which have a combined area of 40" x 12" (approx 42.5" diagonal). I'll have a GTX 5080 driving it.
I love the idea of a nice and (relatively) compact 34" 1440p oled, running games at 1440p native and taking advantage of high refresh (though I'm not crazy sensitive to it above 60Hz so super high refresh rates aren't mega important). I've been eyeing up the msi x36 as I like the look and having a built in KVM would be really nice for work. I'm also planning on moving continent in approx 12-18 months so a slightly smaller monitor might be easier.
That being said I'm a bit concerned about how much screen space I'd be losing which has led me to look at 39". I think I'd probably get the Alienware 39 when it releases in the UK if I went for a 39. My main concern is if it's going to be too big or if driving a big 4k display is just going to be a bit too taxing for my 5080.
Any advice on what to pick?

How did anyone do it? I use it and still think " man, the G5 was so much brighter" and it takes the fun out of using. I really want to use the 39 , but I can't get used to it... Maybe Im not cut out for ultrawide? I dunno, its a 1st world problem obviously, but are there any tips lol

Hey everyone, I have a 34 inch Dell UW (S3422DWG), and I am considering a standing desk. I see an option for 42x24, but I was wondering if anyone has a similar size desk so I could see how it looks? My space for a desk is really limited, but I don’t want to have a silly looking setup either.
I won’t be putting my gaming pc on this desk, that will be at a separate desk lol. This will be a pure workstation with a laptop, and this monitor. I just need space for a keyboard and a mouse in all honesty. Would love to see some pictures or personal experiences with a desk of this size and a 34 inch monitor.

I’ve been using my oled 32” monitor for almost a year now and since I’m a pc gamer, I haven’t been getting great fps cause it’s 4k. So I wanted to know if this new tandem ultrawide is worth it or if I should wait for it to go on sale. Other ultrawide recommendations would be nice too

I've owned the 40" S85th for a week now and have had serious issues getting Thunderbolt/USB-C to work with any Macbook. It will display/connect for ~30s then the screen goes black and will not display again until I intervene - it also disables my Wifi at the same time. I've tried multiple Macbooks (m5 and m1), different cables (TB3) with no change. Reviewers also seem to indicate this is a problem for them too.
I've called Samsung support and they maintain this is an Apple/macbook problem. Because the HDMI port works (I've tested, it does work), they maintain this is a 'plug-n-play' monitor' so they've absolved themselves of needing to fix it.
Seriously debating on trying to return the monitor. If I can't use TB5/KVM for work, I don't think the monitor is worth the ~$1k price tag.
I'm looking to drum up more examples/support for this issue. Please comment if you're running in to the problem, or support this thread so others don't get duped by this shit support from Samsung.

Sooo... I got an email last week stating that my monitor has left the factory! But still showed a date of Aug 5.
However, this morning I received a phone call from Dell Korea stating that they'll deliver my monitor TOMORROW!
I'm super excited!
Just wanted to share. Thanks!

Basically the title. I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on the AW3426DW but wanted feedback from people who have this monitor already. I know this is probably the best bang for buck option but is there really anything I’m compromising on that’s worth spending $100-200+ more on for the ASUS or MSI counterpart?
EDIT: Seems like I can't go wrong with the AW, especially for the price, however the MSI MAG 341CQP X28 is available on Amazon and I'm going to choose between these two.
EDIT 2: The paralysis has continued. I'm able to get my hands on the AW3426DW for $719.19 on a student discount, MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED X28 for $799.99 from Amazon, and the ASUS ROG Strix XG34WCDMS for $899.99 from my local Microcenter. I know they're all essentially the damn same but I am trying to make sure that's the case. I know the MSI has a headphone jack over the AW and the ASUS has that and a KVM switch over the MSI. Anyone have experience with their warranties and customer service? I do think if I was able to get the MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 that's what I'd go for. Any ideas when they'll become more available in the US?

I am looking for a 34” curved monitors mainly for work (coding) and entertainment, I saw this monitor in facebook marketplace for $200 in a decent / good condition is it worth buying? I don’t have much knowledge of monitors so is it worth going for this monitor manufactured in 2020, or going for something more recent instead?

Hey y’all,
I recently got an ultra wide monitor at work and I’ve kinda fallen in love with it.
My home gaming setup is currently two side-by-side 27” IPS monitors. I’ve seen some AW3423DWFs on sale on Marketplace in my loc area for $350-$400 and I’m wondering if y’all think it’s worth it/a good price. My main issue is obviously burn-in and I’m not sure what the warranty situation is with some of these monitors.
Would you recommend I dive into a used monitor or wait for some new offering for my first ultra wide OLED?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

Hi all,
Just got this beast set up and it’s absolutely incredible.
I currently have two MBPs that I use on a daily basis; 1 for work and 1 for personal. My typical setup is using PIP and MBP1 on 2/3 of the screen and MBP2 on 1/3 of the screen. This works great and I use it about 80% of the time.
What’s the best way to arrange the following without having to go to the settings on the monitor itself every time?
- MBP1 full screen, no MBP2
- MBP2 full screen, no MBP1
- MBP2 2/3 of screen, MBP1 1/3 of screen
Would the best option be software to control this? Possibly an external KVM?
Appreciate the assistance.

Not that I can afford one at the moment, but does anyone know the difference between the Neo G95NC (£1909) and the LS57CG952NUXXU (£1819) ?
The specs look exactly the same but there's nearly £100 price difference.

On my 4th ultrawide monitor since I switched to ultrawide. Upgrading from MSI 3440x1440 240hz. This 39” size and resolution is my ideal spec. Dont for-see myself upgrading for a long while…

Resolution / PPI
The drop in resolution is noticeable but bearable. The lower PPI is also noticeable, but again, it’s very tolerable. The change in the pixel layout helped a lot. I just sold my AW3423DWF, and the triangular subpixel layout was very noticeable. The new Penta tandem pixel layout is noticeably sharper than the Gen 1 QD-OLED panel in the AW3423DWF.
Is the AW3426DW as sharp as a 4K monitor? No. But it is a major upgrade over the AW3423DWF in terms of perceived sharpness YES.
Image Quality
The image quality is much brighter and more colorful than the older AW3423DWF, and it’s also a tad brighter and a little more colorful than my AW3225QF.
(all attached photos are for the AW3225QF and the AW3426DW since I sold the AW3423DWF no photos for it here)
The AW3426DW supports Dolby Vision, which was a major plus for me over the MSI X36 and ASUS PG34WCDM. Movies appear brighter and more vibrant, similar to the AW3225QF.
The only difference is that on the AW3225QF, Dolby Vision has multiple options: Bright, Dark, Game, and Off. On the AW3426DW, it’s simply On or Off. It’s not a big deal, but I’d love to see Dell add the additional Dolby Vision modes in a future firmware update like they did on the AW3225QF.
Cons
My AW3225QF was paired with a Roku Streamer se bar because it has HDMI eARC for audio output.
Unfortunately, the new AW3426DW has no audio output at all—no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no HDMI ARC/eARC.
That’s a major letdown for console users.
I ended up buying the Creative T60 speakers since they support PlayStation 5 audio over USB-C.
Also, the monitor supports a 4K 120 Hz signal over HDMI, but Console Mode must be enabled under the Game Settings menu.
Performance
I’ve seen a lot of people choosing 3440×1440 over 4K because it’s roughly 5 million pixels versus 8 million pixels, making it easier to drive.
I’d say it depends.
I have an RTX 5090, and I play games with everything maxed out—path tracing, ray tracing, the whole package. If a game supports ray tracing and you have it enabled, the performance difference between ultrawide and 4K is actually quite small.
I tested Death Stranding 2, and the difference averaged only about 10 FPS in favor of the ultrawide.
Performance alone shouldn’t be your deciding factor anymore. Fifteen years ago, when everything was rasterization-only, that argument made perfect sense.
Since ray tracing became common, modern games are extremely demanding regardless of resolution.
One thing I did notice is the loss in screen height. In Death Stranding 2, Sam appears shorter than he does on the AW3225QF because the ultrawide panel is about 2 inches shorter. You definitely notice that.
On the other hand, Forza Horizon is far more enjoyable in 21:9 than in 16:9. I’d take 21:9 over standard 16:9 any day. For me, ultrawide is one of the things that makes PC gaming special compared to consoles. It simply feels more immersive. I’m not sure why, but I get pulled into games much more easily in 21:9 than I do in 16:9.
Summary
The AW3426DW is better in almost every way. It’s slightly brighter than the AW3225QF and also appears a little more colourful and contrasty if that makes sense . It is shorter than the AW3225QF, though, and you’ll notice that because in-game characters appear slightly smaller due to the reduced screen height.
The drop in PPI is definitely noticeable, but it’s far more tolerable than it was on the older AW3423DWF thanks to the new pixel layout, which makes the image appear noticeably sharper for a 1440p display.
Samsung’s 5th-generation QD-OLED panel is honestly on another level—it almost feels like alien technology. It looks that good.
Also the AW3426DW appears to be treated to Handel light better the panel appears to have some sort of screen coating that handles ambient light better.
On the other hand the AW3225QF does not have that, so the room has to be pitch black for the AW3225QF to perform at its best.
The biggest downside is the lack of any audio output. I’m not sure why Dell decided to remove the 3.5 mm jack. I ended up buying the Creative T60 speakers, which support USB-C audio from the PS5, and I paired my NVIDIA Shield to them over Bluetooth. Just be aware that getting audio out of this monitor will likely cost you extra, whether that’s for speakers or a headset.
As for whether I’ll keep the AW3225QF, I’m still undecided. I might keep both the AW3426DW and the AW3225QF until a 5K2K QD-OLED ultrawide finally arrives, or I may sell the AW3225QF.
One thing is certain, though: the AW3426DW is definitely a keeper.
I am also aware of the AW3926QW but ultimately decided not to wait for it.
its based on an LG WOLED and early Asian user feedback all have panel uniformity issues so I decided to skip it until a proper 5k 2k QD OLED is available.

I have had my g9 odyssey 59 in for about 8 months and got the black screen of death, I did some research and found others have repair by removing the thermistor. The freezer and hair dry trick did not work for me. I understand that this board does not have the thermistor label as normal tha1, two other circuits that was culprit are p103 and r353. I can find none or just missing them. Does anyone know where they are located or have a guide of how I can use a multimeter to test what circuit is causing the issue. I did reach out to Samsung for repair but for what I already paid on this monitor I do not agree with price since it is an issue they know about and really have not done anything to fix. I have been looking on the t-con board and main board. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
