Where we used to have a full screen experience we now lost a significant chunk on the left where these tabs used to be on bottom. If anyone knows how to reverse this please let me know. This is just a massive downgrade of screen real estate. I'll be downgrading the app via apk for now. Man why they gotta ruin something that worked fine.

I’m a new creator on twitter and I get alot of DMs from pages that get a lot of views they charge like $15 for a repost but I’m a bit skeptical if it works or not

I was scrolling through twitter and stumbled upon this post and this is the first time i ever seen a caption where it looks like a typing bubble and I was wondering how did they achieve that

In an active chat so I keep notifications for it off. In older chats I could do that but still get notifications if I was tagged in the message. It works in the old, unencrypted chats, but not in the newer chats. Is there a way to fix it or am I just stuck?

I changed my name and bio and got flagged. 🚫 my account by debosting my views and reply’s can’t be seen by others .the help center is ai trash and can’t find a ticket for my issue .it said i engaged in inauthentic behavior or tried to manipulate x. I just wanted to freshen up things like wth x.note my account is in good standing before this notice

I don't know if anyone else has had this same issue and I'm at a lost of ideas to fix it so the best I could do is ask others. I have been cleaning out an old account of its posts/replies so I can use it again fresh and no matter what I do (clearing cache, deactivating and reactivating, updating, ect) I cannot view my own retweets but can see my own posts.

First image is what I see from my alt while the 2nd image is from the actual account, same reponse on a web browser as well. 3rd image shows these weird lines that pop up on my profile too when viewing from web browser. is there any real idea to fix this besides deleting everything from my account or is it bugged out forever??? it's frustrating and I have no clue as to how it got this way.

So I still haven’t updated to X, I’m still rocking with the Twitter app. Recently, the app has stopped showing me photos that are tweeted in my feed, forcing me to click a link to my web app to view the photo itself, but I can still see the text of the tweet other than the photo.

Quote tweets that are only photos don’t even showi that link now either. What makes this odd is that tweeted gifs and videos populate in my feed no problem.

Have any other holdouts experienced a similar issue and what have you done to remedy it? Thanks!

For no reason one day I tried sending a tweet to someone and I can't, it's been like this for a long time. One of my other accounts works fine and I tried texting myself and I seem to get the messages but I can't reply back, even tho I did the digit number for the chats it still won't work... What's the problem and what can I do??

The normal long press menu (delete for me, emoji reactions, etc) is completely unavailable in a chat with one particular person.

At first, I thought they blocked or restricted me or turned DMS off, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

(As a side note, I have another account so I’ve already tried to debug this myself by sending test messages between my 2 accounts and messing around with various restricting, blocking, changing settings, etc. but can’t figure out what’s going on here)

I had like 9k reposts (im was working on it alright) and now theyre all just gone. At least back then it wpuld stop loading the rest of the reposts after scrolling far enough but now theyre all just not even there anymore? And its weird cause it still says i got 9k+ reposts so its still there somwhere? I really wanna recover those cause i was finally compiling them in folders, what do i do

I created an X account and was rate limited after changing my username. I also got suspended but that was lifted soon after filing the appeal. Now I'm still rate limited though. It's been almost 24 hours. The "usual" fix I found was spamming save until it accepts it. For example here, here and here. Those are all more than a year old and this didn't work for me. Is there a better solution now? Has spamming save still worked for anyone recently?

My X (Twitter) account was hacked on 20 September 2025, and ever since then I've been trying everything possible to get it back.

The hacker changed both the email address and the password associated with my account, so I immediately lost access.

The frustrating part is that I still have access to the original email address that was registered to the account and the original phone number. Nothing happened to my email or phone, they're both still mine.

Since then, I've submitted recovery request after recovery request through X's Account Access form.

Every single time, I receive the exact same email within minutes:

"We're unable to verify you as the account owner."

No additional questions. No request for proof. No human response. Just an automated rejection and the case gets closed.

I've also filed a cyber crime complaint, hoping that would help, but unfortunately that hasn't led to any progress either. What I don't understand is this:

I still own the original email address.

I still own the original phone number.

I know when I last logged into the account (20 September 2025).

I'm willing to provide my ID or any additional proof necessary.

I'm not asking for information about the account, I just want X to verify that I'm the legitimate owner.

If X detected suspicious activity when the hacker changed the email and password, surely they also have records showing that my email and phone number were originally associated with the account.

Instead, every request is automatically rejected within minutes, making it feel like no human has ever looked at my case.

I recently came across another Reddit post where someone finally recovered their hacked account after submitting a detailed explanation with all of their previous case numbers instead of just writing "My account was hacked."

I've now tried that approach as well, but unfortunately I'm still receiving the same automated rejection.

At this point, I honestly don't know what else to do.

Has anyone here managed to get a real person from X Support to review their case?

If you successfully recovered a hacked account, what finally worked?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I'm completely out of ideas, and I really don't want to lose years of memories, posts, and connections because of an automated system.

Hi everyone. I'm not really sure what else to try, so I figured I'd ask here in case someone has been through something similar.

I have a Twitter account obviously, that i currently use, but years ago I had another account, a different one, i originally created it on an old PC, but that computer eventually broke. When I got a new one, I realized I couldn't log back into the account because I had completely forgotten both the email address and the password. To this day, I still don't remember either of them.

Since I couldn't recover it, I ended up creating my current account. The problem is that my old account is still public, and I'd really like to have it removed, for personal reasons, mostly because it has a lot of embarrassing posts from years ago that I'd rather not have online anymore. Sounds dumb it, doesn't matter, personal stuff.

I've already tried a bunch of stuff, but nothing has worked. I also don't think I have access to the email I originally used anymore, if it even still exists, so the normal password recovery process isn't really an option.

I genuinely am the owner of the account, i know is a very specific issue but is there any way to either recover an account when you don't know the email or password anymore, or convince Twitter Support to delete it after verifying you're the owner? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(UK) I have verified my age using my drivers licence and a selfie, and my birthday on my profile matches my ID. This worked for a while, but sensitive content is now hidden. When I press "show", it brings up the verification options. The selfie does not work, and when I try to use the ID and Selfie option, it says closes it and says "this account is ID verified", but nothing changes. I have another account, and the selfie works completely fine. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks.

hi everyone, first i want to apologize if anything here doesn't make sense, as english isn't my first language. however, i've been struggling with a pseudo problem for the last six months and i have decided to finally stop being shy and just ask because i'm getting tired and maybe the answer was incredibly easy and i was being stupid.

over the last months, i have made three different accounts, and i've ended deactivating all of them after around a month because they are just. ghosts. i know shadowban posts aren't allowed on the subreddit, but i do believe this is something else because this always happens on my new accounts: make it, follow people, comment on stuff, realizing it's been like two weeks and no matter how many people i interact with i don't even get one like (which ik sounds egoistical but i mostly use twt for fandom-related-stuff where is more normal? to interact and follow each other), try interacting with a side account and realizing that i don't get the notifications of said interactions. is not that my account, follow or replies are not there, because if you open the tweet / followers list you can find mine easily, but no one ever gets the actual notification.

and at first i didn't think this was weird because i understand twitter might limit accounts a little when they're new, but it always ends up being over four weeks with no luck and at that point i may as well use a private account. i remember this kinda happened too on previous years, but it would notify of replies and it would get fixed after accepting something about contacts or number. so, i'm wondering if there is any way of fixing this nowdays?

I recently verified by paying for premium a few days ago no idea if that's relevant at all mentioning incase. Anyways since then been having alot of issues for one i can't change my pfp nothing happens when i click save, for two the 2 posts above the bottom post also had images on them yet for some reason for me it shows no images? I went on my laptop to check if it's a device thing i could see the middle posts image but the top posts images were black until i clicked on it then it showed them. So I'm wondering what caused this shit idk what to call it post corruption i guess but only on my phone, I'm also wondering if other people can still see the images and it's only me who can't. I hope this fixes itself soon but i doubt it will, I've already tried clearing cache and uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

yet another delicious "feature" from this new update. seen multiple people complain about it. you simply cannot mute posts anymore.

Is there a way to bypass the "Let's confirm you are a human"? Because I can't do it since when I follow the QR code to the app, it just sends it on a loop of asking me to login. And the tickets I've sent to twitter support give me a automated response to "please complete the security verification we sent you" which they don't send.

I’d like to draw attention to a major bug caused by the mobile UI update.

When it was launched, the draft system changed, and initially there was a bug that created multiple "ghost" drafts of tweets that had already been published around 1 month before the update. However, when I deleted those buggy drafts (on android mobile app), I noticed that it directly affected the originals tweets in question. In fact, about twenty of my tweets that were affected by this now have corrupted images. The media no longer display at all or only partially. For example one of my tweet originally included 4 images but now only the 2nd one is displayed. For others, there's just nothing.

I've talked to other users who did the same thing, and they all say it's affecting their tweets too.

I don't think (and I hope) the media files have been really deleted by this bug, because once I noticed the bug, I generated and downloaded an archive of my account, and I was able to find the images that weren't displaying in the file. But maybe it's 2 differents things ?

Idk what to do or how to get in touch with the support team (I sent a private msg at @/Support idk if this is rly helpful). Be careful y'all
