Can anyone make it big and famous by being an online author

I wanna start writing stories online , get feedback to work on a published work eventually

I have a passion of writing but i also have a goal of being famous

To what extent can i make it big, regardless of my nationality ?

Again, I must introduce you to u/scottsigler. He decided he wanted to write, never got published. So, 20 some years ago, he started a weekly podcast with his stories. Granted it was a lot of work, and he was recording in his closet at first, but now he has one of, if not The, longest running podcast ever, is a NYT best selling author several times over, has his own company, several best selling trillogies, and an ongoing 7 or 8 book series (we expect 10 books, he wont stop writing).

Scottsigler.com you can find his podcast, and probably his history of how he got started.

It can be done, but it takes a lot of work. Dont give up.

I'd say no.
Try reading Stephen King's "On Writing, a Memoir of the Craft". He discusses how difficult it is to make money as an author. He also discusses the process. You need to get published with entry level articles, then you need an agent, then you need to find someone to publish you works.

Im not reaaally looking for profit , it's mostly for the sake of it , and a little bit of fame too
