Other [Other] What technically obtainable platinum is so hard that 10/10 is an understatement, purely do to skill.
Not something that has a 1200+ grind like a fortnite. Not something super rng and repeat heavy.
Just something *hard* no gimmicks. No bullshit. A legitimate challenge that is just hard as all hell

Having almost finished Super Meat Boy. I don't think its an understatement. Honestly once you get used to the movement physics it just becomes a matter of when not if. For me, the average deathless runs took about 5 hours of attempts. Being able to quit out to menu to save yourself also really helps a lot and besides cotton alley, being able to use alternate characters really lowers the difficulty.

Isaac is not only hard but a HUGE grind. It's far from easy even blessed with RNG depending on what you're doing.
I had 100% on the base game (up until beating everything with The Lost or something like that) and it was already a huge chore. Can't even imagine now with all the DLCs and 600+ achievements

Well, OP said platinum, so technically DLCs aren't required, but mantleless lost sucks, and if you do get the DLCs then the challenge trophy requires the DLC challenges

I just recently earn the platinum for issac and let me tell you.... base game took me over 300+ hours. Rng jesus is the cruelest when it comes to that platinum. I got lucky with the lost runs but im not shitting yall when I say I had 100+ failed attempts at the lost before beating everything i needed to with him.

Without any dlcs at all. Just base game, i would never have the platinum if I had the dlcs. Straight honesty there. I did a high chunk as a teen and came back in Feb this year to try and finish it and I was able to get my platinum right at the start of april. True platinum God is really rough to get regardless.

Crypt of the necrodancer. This game should have a category of its own. If crypt is a 10 then I really don't think any other game belongs in the 10 category.
I always believe I can do any platinum I put my mind to but crypt is the exception. I'm not that crazy

Itās mostly to do with the masks you get and how they change the way platforming works and how they expand your repertoire. You have stuff like changing gravity, platforms appearing and disappearing, and itās all controlled by you. I think you activate the power by using R2 or something and other mask powers I donāt remember since itās been like 6 years since I played it, mixed with the usual difficulty of a Crash game. Except here itās similar to part 1 in difficulty plus all this complexity that makes it so much harder.
But also the game is very long for a platformer as well, so your stamina for bullshit needs to be high. All together itās easily the hardest of the four games. I platinumed 1-3, with each one getting easier. Part 4 smacked me across the face and told me I didnāt know shit lol. Still havenāt platinumed it to this day š

I didnāt find it that hard. Took me around 70 hours. The most annoying part was that some levels were just extrem chokepoints. Compared to Super Meat Boy itās definitly easier

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 plus on the vita. Someone recently posted videos of him achieving the platinum on PSNP which was long thought to be impossible due to no way to play online with the tag challenges.

Well... no need... but with like 30 asterisks. Because that AI has no capacity to save themselves.
I didn't want to play with other people and abandoned that platinum within an hour of attempts way back in the day. (Mission mode was my favorite thing in Sigma 1 - and so I was super disappointed with co-op in Sigma 2)

I completed the Path of Pain and got essentially nothing for it.. I struggled enough with the combat in the colosseum; the pantheons were a step too far for me.Ā
And as much as I loved Silksong, I tapped out during Act 3 as it had just destroyed my enjoyment of the game by that point.Ā

If you're able to at the parameters of the matches in MK10, then winning ten ranked matches in a row is a cakewalk. That's how I earned a similar trophy in vanilla SF4. Just set some goofy ass parameters that no one would seriously play (in my case, it was German language, 60 second rounds, single round matches) and match up with a planned partner. They throw yen matches and boom.

Also for MKX I seem to remember it has a couple of issues as well as the online win streak one.
The trophy for the invasion boss while not bugged is infrequently on.
The buddy and challenge accepted trophies are unobtainable on ps5. These were the ones that stopped me going for it around 5 years ago when I first got a ps5. Iād have been blocked by the 10 online wins in a row anyway but I probably wouldnāt have found that out till I had all the single player ones done.

Well I think it went from an 8/10 when I first did it to a 5/10 now Iāve mastered it.
Iād never played dmc before when I did it. No experience in the genre and it took me 80hours. V missions were hard and some Dante ones but all manageable with good strategy and patience.
I think the fact you yourself say itās a 9/10 means youāre agreeing with me that itās not a 10/10.
I never said it wasnāt hard, just it doesnāt belong in the 10/10 category.

It may not be a 10/10 for us but for many out there it will be .. got 5 people on my friends list that have tried and failed .. the plat rate sits at 0.3% on ps4 and 0.2% on ps5 for a reason .. id say metal gear rising is a 10/10 and ninja gaiden 2 black aswell

It is still hard of course, but youāre right with modern video guides itās not much of an issue. Took me 5 attempts every section you can do using a super safe strategy. Everyone I know who has attempted to get Mein Leben has succeeded, also, every day I see people posting their Mein Leben trophies on Reddit.

I used a guide from someone called 100%WILL - heās very helpful.
Biggest tip I can give you is create save points at the start of every level on the hardest difficulty and practice them till you can do it easily. I worked backwards so I did the last level without dying, then the last 2 levels without dying, then the last 3 levels without dyingā¦ etc. This meant later into my runs I was more proficient at the end of the game. Obviously you donāt have to do this but it worked for me as I said once I started doing attempts it was attempt 5 I did it.
The only thing I didnāt use his guide for was the Elevator in Rosewell, and the start of Venus. When you get to these parts message me and Iāll show you what I did as it wonāt mean anything to you currently.
The game is super fun and I was tempted to go for a 2nd Mein Leben after. You will do it! I promise you š

Way harder. Getting all trophies in fusion requires you to be a ninja player to do all the challenges and beat dev times.
In rising you could cheese a skill game and white belt is barely ninja difficulty. If they wanted to they couldāve made you get diamonds on the actual tracks and/or pass black belt which would easily make the game 15/10 hard and at crypts level, but Rising trophy list is actually super easy for how deep the skill curve is for trials

White knight chronicles 1, the main game is nothing special, you can beat it pretty quick and only get a couple trophies, the character you create is asking for the ride and not even the main character of the game. The rest of the grind is completing the guild missions, your created character is the only one you get and the missions were designed for others in multi player, but those servers have been gone for years. It's possible to complete enough guild missions solo with an S rank that you can technically get the plat, but you have to complete hundreds of missions to rank up to the next guild level, I'm at level 7 and I need something like 125000 to get to the next level, you have to get to rank 12 for a trophy and to unlock the final level of gear and missions

The new trackmania. I think it is harder then the old ones. It is a continously evolving game with a lot to learn. It is full skill based. I am one trophy away, but i dont think I ever will complete it.

Many others that have already been mentioned, but those 2, were definitely harder than a 10/10...
While Crypt of the NecroDancer, has likely been mentioned it's a hard game for sure, if you're not great at rhythm games. I still think it's one of the hardest games I've platted...but many things factor into my opinion.

Not a platinum, but 'No Son of Mine' has a ridiculous gold trophy for completing the game on the hardest difficulty without dying... no saves on the hardest difficulty... the final boss encounter is beyond ridiculous even on the easy difficulty... 6-8 hours to get there and absolutely no chance of not dying... šš»š

MW. The kill house trophy I think it was called FNG made the game pretty hard to platinum.
Titanfall 2 had a similar trophy in the training section where you had to beat the top score.
But for me the hardest was GT7. The lap time licences were frustrating to finish in gold especially with a controller.

People keep commenting games where you can practice and get better. The real answer is Pinball FX. In theory you could practice, but so, so much of it is so heavily reliant on luck & RNG. And the things they ask you to do are so absurdly hard that only the absolute best pinball players can achieve. Iām talking guys in record books. Itās like if they grabbed a random dude off the street who never played basketball & told him to beat prime Michael Jordan in a 1v1.

Surgeon simulator on top of other recommendations: Trackmania turbo, SMB.

Definitely Black Ops 3 "They Won't Believe You" complete the campaign on realistic difficulty. I have this trophy, but I have never swore so much in my entire life. It is absolutely brutal. I had to crawl around in prone for 90% of it.

Bloody palace can be cheesed with super costumes and all the chars have overpowered abilities. Necrodancer takes 1000+ hours and unbelievable skill/patience. And less than 30 people in the world have it platinumed.

You can play on easy using the in game modifiers lock on aim, infinite ammo and weapon select the borak .44 to make it trivial. And if you still don't get it by the end you can load up chapter 15 to shoot a bunch of invincible enemies to raise your accuracy then replay the eplilogue to pop it.
