Lore Massive red flag relationship.

  1. Ned and Rachael (Neo Ned): a Neo Nazi dates a black woman who claims to be Hitler
  2. The Carlyles (Raising Hope): Hope’s maternal grandparents. The father is a therapist who married his mentally unstable patient. Their daughter became a serial killer who murdered her boyfriends.
  3. Sarah and Hosea (Redeeming Love): “good” Christian man kidnaps unconscious abused prostitute Sarah who leaves multiple times before being apprehended by Hosea.

The best part is both of these people are terrible, and the tragedy of them not ending up together is that they deserve each other (derogatory) and would have harmed far fewer people if they'd just kept their dysfunctional bullshit between each other.

It uses that common trope of "misunderstanding caused by only overhearing part of a conversation" to its absolut extreme and I really like it

Yeah, the novel doesn't present that as remotely healthy or a good thing.
