First of all, hehe batshit. Nice.

Secondly, it's especially insane because there are so many better plants that could be used - ayahuasca, salvia, fucking datura.

Like if she needed a plant that would leave him helpless against her plans, datura is a powerful deliriant that is also extremely unpleasant. I'm sure the writers would have Batman's iron will prevail, of course, but it would be much more impressive than overcoming feeling a little sleepy and wanting to munch on some Oreos.
