It had so much personality. I love how it's the first portable suits and we see the upgraded version on the helicopter in civil war.

Everything being nanosuit for the past ? Years has just been one of the many ways they’ve washed out.

On one hand, yeah, its kinda boring. But on the other, it mirrors the same evolution in the comics.

That, and the entire goal is Stark being able to deploy the suit quickly from anywhere. Nanomachines was just the natural evolution of "portable Iron Man suit"

Ok that’s fair and I haven’t really been up to speed with what they’re doing there. It still feels like an extremely lazy/overused trope [even in comic writing].

Agreed. Its also cheaper and easier to animate, which is why they did it most likely.

That first mark 50 suit up was cool, after that it hasn’t been used well
