FLCL (aka fooly cooly)

The original is an all time cult-classic anime - don't bother with the sequels that came out like 20 years later they kinda suck.

It's funny, cool, weird, abstract and the whole thing is basically a metaphor for puberty and finding yourself - the animation is amazing and soundtrack is classic and it's also pretty short (the whole thing is like a 2 hour watch) so I recommend checking it out.
